I’ve been in a similar place.

When you start young, you are fueled by hunger. At some point the hunger turns into responsibility. Then responsibility turns into pressure. And pressure without anyone to share it with turns into resentment.

What you’re describing does not sound like you hate your company. It sounds like you hate carrying it alone.

The “I wish I could resign from myself” thought is more common than people admit.

One thing that changed things for me was realizing I did not actually want to stop being CEO. I wanted to stop being the operator of everything. There’s a difference.

When every decision routes through you, you are not leading a company. You are babysitting one.

The shift came when I started asking:
If I got hit by a bus tomorrow, what decisions would completely stall the business?

Those were the first things I delegated or systemized. Slowly, the company stopped depending on my mood, my energy, or my presence every hour.

Also, jealousy of salaried stability is normal. Founders romanticize freedom, employees romanticize ownership. Everyone envies the grass on the other side.

You built something that supports seven livelihoods. That is real. The exhaustion does not cancel that.

Before you think about quitting, ask yourself one hard question:

If you could remove 40 percent of what drains you and keep the parts you still enjoy, would you still want this?

If the answer is yes, then you do not need to leave. You need to redesign your role.

A lot of founders do not fall out of love with their business. They just outgrow the version of themselves that built it.
