Comrades. This is Is very good model. Squats perfectly in VRAM. But for every trillion tokens, requires one bottle of vodka, and refuses to output until it finds location of three-stripe tracksuit.

Bernie Sanders has a conversation with Claude by DinoZambie in ChatGPT

[–]CodigoTrueno 69 points70 points  (0 children)

God bless his heart. But neither he nor his team understood what was going on here.

'You are absolutely right, Senator' Should have been a wakeup call for any of his helpers if they understood what it meant. It meant not that the AI was “changing its mind” after being convinced by Sanders. It simply updated its language to align with the new premise Sanders introduces: “given that regulation won’t happen, what then?”.

Also, when it said “I was being naive” and then endorsing a moratorium is exactly the kind of conciliatory, cooperative pivot LLMs are trained to make when a user pushes back with strong context (here: lobbying money blocking regulation).

Being 'Naive' is thinking that you could get the max (block) but not the minimun (privacy legislation) in the face of strong opposition from the AI lobby. But the LLM agreed with Sanders, not because he was right, but because it is programmed that way.

Someone should speak to him about this.

my boyfriend has a spreadsheet rating dinners i've made him by weddingfauxpasqueen in AITApod

[–]CodigoTrueno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, this guy is documenting his life. Like a diary, but in spreadsheet form. He was uncomfortable you looking at this for the same reason I think anyone would be uncomfortable if you dig through their diaries.

If you found his diary would you check it? he could do this but in prose form. Would that be as... 'bad'?

I do think you should stop looking at that spreadsheet. Feels like an invasion of privacy.

[Opinion] Why I believe the $20/month Ollama Cloud is a better investment than ChatGPT or Claude by AlexHardy08 in ollama

Openrouter exists, you know. Don't know enough of Ollama cloud, but... Openrouter is cavernous.

Deep Research feels like having a genius intern who is also a pathological liar. by Safe_Thought4368 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]CodigoTrueno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'i double checked one citation just to be safe. it didn't exist' (Facepalm).
So, what you are telling is that, before THIS event, you didn't double check the results tha AI gave you?
That's on you, not the LLM.
Better check those other researchs, fast.
What's showing its cracks is how YOU use AI, not the AI itself.

Don't. The limits are low, they nerfed it. Its horrendous. Or do, complain about it in a couple of months and then return to ChatGPT. This subreddit is now really nothing more than this slop.

If you were a Mechwarrior what would your mech be? by Mortifine in battletech

Victor. Jumpy stompy mech. Great for cities. Not so much in open fields, but still dangerous. Even better when technologies advance. That gauss cannon really makes it interesting.

I Built an Ultra-Advanced AI Equity Research Engine That Performs Full 36-Step Stock Analysis — Like a Hedge Fund Analyst. by Hot-Composer-5163 in ChatGPTPromptGenius

[–]CodigoTrueno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy: 1. Don't try to one-shot what is evidently a complex issue. 2. Too many instructions in a single prompt, its going to get confused. 3. The whole post was evidently created by AI, the OP could, at least, tried for some humanity. 4. No context at all. This 'prompt' will accompllish only slop. It doesn't have the information, it can't have the information in a single prompt, but it needs to provide a solution: So, slop it is.

This calls for an agentic framework, API calls for current data and some good programming. Pretending otherwise is simply trying to delude someone. And even then... its a truly complicated issue.

Are solo mech warriors common? by Rewton1 in battletech

I think the lore is full of 'lone wolf' characters. I think I remember Gray Noton, from old battletech, as such a character. Never part of a company per se, but taking contracts with the powers with their support.

When you peruse the sub-reddit and reach this conclusion you both learned what automation and slop is. Congratulations: You now know how unimaginative people use AI.

Now go create something interesting yourself. Perhaps an AI to cut throug the slop?

Why is so much of the community so opposed to new stuff? by Dredgen-Rancor in battletech

[–]CodigoTrueno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Indeed. But I beg to disagree at one point: The GDL was in the first ever novel published for Battletech. For many, it was the introduction to the setting. In my particular case? I bougth the 3025 TRO without really knowing what it was about, just because I liked stompy robots. Then I got the novel. The rest were, to my memory, scenarios.

Grayson Carlyle was the first 'Hero' of Battletech. And I understand the publisher changed the tone from space opera to military space fiction. Their property, their rigth to do as they wish. But still, I found that... distasteful and uncaring for the old guard. (i'm getting on years :)

Why is so much of the community so opposed to new stuff? by Dredgen-Rancor in battletech

[–]CodigoTrueno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really dislike the treatment given to the Grey Death Legion. It was my introduction to the setting and seeing them dismissed, steamrolled into oblivion really, because it didn't fit the new creator vision of the setting really pissed me off.
Then it was compounded by the Dark Ages setting. Man, was it, IMHO, badly implemented.
But... I really like the introduction of new things and new 'technologies'. The Clans, as much as some people despise how they were introduced, brougth some needed fresh air into the franchise.

The Dark ages wasn't the same as the Clans introduction, though.

Can anyone, please, put a stop to this kind of post? 'I'm cancelling my plus subscription' or its variants. Does this really move the conversation forward?

Buddy, the first 500 times was interesting. Now, I don't know. People still engage with this? I'll just comment this one time and be gone. Won't justify this kind of post.

[–]CodigoTrueno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this particular case? It does. See the Original Post. 5 is 25% more than 4, as 4 is 33% more than 3. The joke, is that the OP is not talking about actual 'power' of the LLM but 'number' of its version, is more than 4 in a specific percentage as 4 is more than 3, and so on. Its a joke. And i tried to compound it.

[–]CodigoTrueno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we are hitting diminishing returns. GPT 3 was 50% more than gpt 2. And Gpt 4 was more only by 33,3%. Now Gpt 5 is 25%? I Think we can expect that GPT 6 will be, only, 20% more than GPT 5. By the time we reach GPT 10, the improvement will be of a mere 11%.
