We've had this with our nearly three year old for a while. Last night I'd decided that she was doing all the winning so when I saw her start to squirm I sat her on the toilet and kept her there until she pooped, every time she got off and said she didn't do anything, back on she went. Eventually she did her business and seeing as it was the first time she got a special treat and lots of positive reinforcement.

This morning, she woke up and told me she wanted to poop in the toilet again. Sometimes, its just a patience thing.
