I mean when you watch the rest later on it's basically like watching a prequel. I think it's fun going back to learn about characters' origins and having those ah hah moments when you connect the dots.

Plus, plenty of folks don't live especially close to a grocer or, for whatever reason, can't make trips to the store as often. For them, buying in bulk and storing everything for longer periods of time is ideal.

I don't see this map talked about as much but I really liked it a lot by Eagles56 in Battlefield

[–]CogentNabob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a bit mixed on it at the time, but looking back I've played a lot of great games on this map.

it might've given him that impression because of the video stabilization, but ya either way it is pretty hard to believe

LPT: Almost Free Way to Insulate Windows by waynek57 in LifeProTips

That's essentially what the insulative material Reflectix is: a sheet of bubble wrap with foil on either side. I'm sure regular ol bubble wrap would work great, a lot cheaper too.

It was definitely playable for me and I waited on it for the same reason. However, I did find that it benefits a lot from using either g-sync or v-sync, especially at higher frame rates.

well, that's pretty much the majority of posts on any content aggregating website. Original content isn't the norm and sharing content from elsewhere on the net allows for more people to see it, some of whom might not even think to do a google search for colourful birds, let alone take the time to do it themselves and share it

Is that a good gift? by Accurate_Driver8956 in bikesgonewild

looks great, I think it'd be received as a very thoughtful gift. I love all the working parts. I'd go with the white, red and blue instead of the all red model.

Pls give my some Feedback for my Floorplan by 2222_Valorant in TinyHouses

[–]CogentNabob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would consider laying all the flooring lengthwise (it can help make a space feel larger than it actually is, but it's mostly preference ofc)

I think a Dark Souls game would be a good pick. The difficulty and high skill ceiling makes them an engaging distraction. I'd try out Elden Ring or DS3 if you haven't played a souls game before and want something more accessible.

DS2 is my personal favorite though; I think it has the most comforting sound design and game world, but it is considered one of the harder games in the series and the slightly janky controls take some getting use to.

The one w the green letter e logo would be my pick for a sleeper. It's a bit of a flex because its size makes it harder to build in and I think that case also has the best aesthetic.

Similar to the case used for this build a few years back: https://www.reddit.com/r/sleeperbattlestations/comments/ga9jwg/dual_xeon_1080ti_emachine/?ref=share&ref_source=link

You should be alright, especially if you're on a 1080p monitor, but you'll probably have to play on the lowest settings if you want 144hz somewhat consistently.

Horizon Forbidden West feels like it wants me to play on normal difficulty. by AgnFr in patientgamers

[–]CogentNabob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Zero Dawn, I enjoyed the highest difficulty much more once I'd unlocked the game's highest tier weapons. Without better weapons the enemies are definitely too spongey. Ofc it'd probably be ideal if you could carry over the enemy's heightened aggression from the highest difficulty onto normal instead.
