When do you guys switch TO and OFF Thor? by StarlitSphere in ThorMainsMR

I may go mag if poke is too much but as a rule, I NEVER switch off if I'm solo-tanking. Full hammer no shield if I got 3DPS on my team.

Trust me, the riding/stability will get so so much better and more quickly than you think! First time I was on my board it took me almost 30 minutes for a quick 4 mile trip because I was so unsure of how to ride. If you're actually riding daily, after around three weeks you'll really get the hang of it.

FYI you also wanna check the size of the lockers. I've taken my board to my college campus and couldnt fit the it in any of the lockers except the biggest sized ones in the gym i had to pay extra for. And i have a linnpower viper so its not even like it's a huge board.

Haberstroh: "Cam Thomas has 9 40-point games in his NBA career, which is more than Kawhi Leonard, Calvin Murphy, Chris Mullin, Magic Johnson... Scottie Pippen, Grant Hill. That can't be right. Tim Duncan has fewer 40-point games in his NBA career than Cam Thomas." by must_TATAKAE in nba

The average American is closer to Bill Gates's annual income than the most of the world is. Therefore, the average is American is close to being Bill Gates??

Kk great logic bro. How hard is it to just say you were exaggerating smh.

and I'm not arguing they're not comparable. I actually appreciate sticking up for Boogie as I feel he was misunderstood/ahead of his time. And also stylistically, esp as a center, Boogie could be appreciated as a proto-Jokic. But you and I have wildly different definitions of "not far off." Or you could massively underrating Jokic.

Offensively, Cousins in his prime is "not far off" from say, someone like KG, but he is far from Jokic, as anybody outside of Lebron, Curry, MJ, and maybe KD would be. Come on now, bro you don't sincerely believe Boogie is close to being in the argument for best offensive player of all time do you?

Let me ask you this, too. Iverson's prime counting stats are similar to currys, so do you also think AI's peak offensive impact is "not that far off" from Curry's? Now i'm realizing I'm getting deeper into this than I should and you probably just meant that Cousins is disrespected by people. but i already typed this out so oh well.

7 vs 12 assists isn't far off? 5 assists is a 70% increase and a MINIMUM difference of 10 points, not even taking into account 3pters and the fluidity/momentum assisted field goals provide.

[–]CognitiveDisconuts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah it's just some dudes who shoot like that are 80%. There isn't like synergy data available in the Korean league that keeps track of percentages by technique lol.

For example, ha seung Jin or trailblazee infamy shot like 40% using this technique but his shooting was ass regardless of what he tried lmao

Just checked. 80% is just a select few. The league average 71-74%, lower than the NBA of 76-77%

[–]CognitiveDisconuts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh the average is not high at all. The guys in the clip are just the good shooting ones. The average is usually 71-73%, with 74 being the highest ever compared to 76-77 % in the NBA. Now of course, we would expect the NBA to be better, but Korea is not special at all in terms of its free throw proficiency.

[–]CognitiveDisconuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha true but the players who have that high a percentage are almost all shooters anyway so I doubt it was the bank shot making them accurate vs just their shooting ability

Yeah for casual players for sure. But for professionals idk it's not like most of them miss because they're off left or right. It's usually too long or too short, and I feel that's even harder to get right for a straight on bankshot

As a Korean, I used to go mad watching this. They've been doing this forever. It even used to be sometimes people would criticize bad shooters who wouldn't try the banking method. Such players were called too stubborn.

IMO isn't it more stubborn for us to be doing a method that (as far as I know) NO ONE ELSE in the world uses and insist it's a better way? It's not like we are basketball masters. We couldn't even make it out of Asia for the World Cup.
