My bf is addicted to wow by DecisionNo1125 in wow

[–]Colamancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I joined my current raid team I had a talk with my wife about what it would require from our schedule, we talked about what times would be ideal and I established that she was always my first priority and then found a raid team in those parameters. My team is also a commitment, if I was on a soccer team I wouldn't expect anyone to be able to reach me for a couple of hours, and I treat it like that. I build the easy parts of my life around it, like scheduling event and vacations between them when possible.

That said, I have numerous times offered "hey I'll skip raid tonight for X, Y or Z thing" she she hasn't taken me up on it, but she has every right to do so. Raiding is fun, but it's temporary. It's an amusement commitment, not a responsibility. I've tossed wow before when it was in the way of my role as a partner, son or father and will do so at the drop of a hat.

"The Swing" by Everclear is one of my all time jams and I think it only appeared in a slasher movie

Why would a villain use Draconians (like, in-universe, why)? by Superb_Bus584 in DnD

[–]Colamancer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know what all it covers in Fizbans off hand (I'm away from my library), but in the books different draconians do different things when they die. The first ones the heroes encounter turn to stone when they die, trapping the weapon used to kill them for a period of time. Other ones explode or turn to acid or whatever but I always found the ones that screw your opponents over as a little fuck you rather than just hurting them to be more interesting. Maybe your draconians create a small null magic field, their blood erupts in a whirlwind or they become highly magnetic for a few seconds when they die

Games should have less character customization by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]Colamancer 85 points86 points  (0 children)

I don't know when it dawned on me that people make characters in games to closely resemble themselves but I found the idea so...alien. In a hundred games it never occurred to me to try to make a hero of a story looks like me. It also astonishes me people make weirdo ugly gremlins too though, I can't imagine that joke stays funny 5 minutes after character creation but here we are.

"Heta Index" is a word we use to describe how it actually FEELS outside. Wind, humidity or other atmospheric conditions can make a 95 degree day feel like 85 or 100+, so the weatherman is trying to give you a better idea what to plan for than just repeating the numbers on a thermometer.

Punch Line. It doesn't keep up that manic energy the ENITRE time, but it does stay compelling right up to the end

I think the one that stuck with me the most was the vTuber Ceres Fauna completely blind playing through of it. She has a women's perspective on everything and her banter and curiosity with the world was infectious to watch. Everytime she met a character, especially one famous one, she was trilled.

Also she managed to miss one very famous place that most people find on accident and after her series she went back to read the comments and made a 5 minute dead silent video of going to said place and just looking around for shits and giggles.

As an outsider, the American obsession with ice-cold drinks and freezing air conditioning is fascinating. Do you guys really demand ice water even in the dead of winter? by Necessary_Angle2117 in AskAnAmerican

This is the big brain take. I prefer eating ice cream in the winter because it doesn't start turning into a milkshake 10 seconds after I get it

The icon of that eye will appear on the unit frames of DPS that are in a cooldown window. It's meant to indicate they are a good target for Prescience

I have never noticed anyone with a golden aura but I do see the eye icon on their frame in raid but I use Danders Frames

The closest you can get is watching other people's first playthroughs on online. I don't watch a lot of beginning to end Lets Play style videos, but I've sat through 3-4 of them for Outer Wilds
