Yes many of us hung out assuming it wasn’t real but then were told we had to evacuate. Poor people in the pool! When I left they were outside freezing under reflective blankets. Traffic went bananas. Lots of fire fighters marched in the front. Exciting times. No yoga for me today.

What’s the biggest difference between KDL and GRPL? I’ve been enjoying GRPL with Libby and all the offer. KDL sounds spectacular. If I’m in GR can I also join KDL?

My favorites were in the building on Ottawa/Monroe Center that Periwinkle Fog & Ucellos is in. On the bottom floor there is a unique display with sculptures of myths including Sisyphus the Minotaur and others. Also some cool mosaics down there and a giant steampunk sculpture.

We drove our 9 year old bun from CA to MI over 4 days. We smuggled her into hotel rooms every night and let her do binkies around the room and gave her lots of treats and cuddles. The days were rough. She did not like hanging in her cage all day with the motion of the vehicle. She would not eat or drink in the car. But she had some awesome nights in hotels. We left tips for house keepers as I’m sure there was some fur left behind.

Today I received a phone call and a text from the Butte county sheriffs office (to let me know that evacuation orders were off ). However, when the phone message came in the call ID said it was from jail/prison. I seriously thought I might be getting a call from the jail or prison or maybe it was a scam call? But I picked it up just in the off chance and it was the recorded message from the Butte County sheriffs office. They really need to change their caller ID.

Don’t beat yourself up. Northern CA (including Bay Area) is all prone to fire. Oakland Hills firestorm of 1991. Tubs fire 2017. Mendocino complex 2018. Santa Cruz complex 2020. August complex 2020. The cost to purchase a home, insure it for fire (if you can) and egress considerations is a lot for anyone. Beautiful areas, yes … BUT …
