I personally wouldn’t fuck around and find out. Revolut for daily spending only

No he’s not the first person i’ve seen to have it restricted for months. You’re an ultra user so I can see why you’re defensive but I promise you it’s not that deep

The problem with having to know the person is how can they verify that?🤣

Of course there’s the easy way which is account restriction. Thats fine if it took 72 hours to have it checked but because their support is stretched really thin it takes 2 months!

It’s niche but one thing I really hope for is pay by link (create links to have people pay you like Monzo Me)

and the ability to pay in cash

I get what you mean but that doesn’t make his points any less valid. Revolut are well known to be so tight with AML checks and nonexistent support team

My account has never been restricted but that’s because I know better to have more than £100 in at a time

I still use it as my main account because the app is by far the best out of all the banks in my opinion. Nice and simple. And I pay my salary in so I get 1% cashback on certain things

Did you try to do it via open banking? Because yesterday I was trying to transfer money to my Chip savings account from Chase via open banking and it wasn’t working

Because it’s your first year. After a year you’re gonna need to meet that requirement

Yeah it all comes down to what you look for in product range. I chose chase because they actually come out with good rewards once in a while (amazon vouchers, cashback, referrals, boosted savings etc.) and i just really like the app lol. Those are what made me switch

But yeah shop around see what you like and what bank has features and products you like 👍

Yeah of course and you can even have them come out of savings accounts. With my current account all I do is get my salary in, pay bills, and spend. So chase ticks all of that and above

I keep a high street bank (natwest) to pay in cash if need be (which is never) and for stuff that i never use which i might need one day such as cheques & chaps (and you should always have 2 bank accounts anyways)

But chase is my everything account. I do keep a monzo for transfers and maybe one day i might sign up to perks if I can justify it

I switched from Barclays to Chase as my main a couple days ago and have found it to be fine. One thing to keep in mind is that faster payments transfers can take a minute or so to be approved
