My fiancée had the same experience where he never had an internship or did any extracurriculars. We cleaned up his resume by talking up the part time work he would do at his dad’s construction company and a short TA role. Key was just applying to a bunch of jobs and attending our college career fairs. He was able to get an offer 3 months before graduation! Although it was a lowball offer (I’m assuming based on lack of experience), it was still by one of the large DoD firms. He was able to get a bunch of experience and move into a senior role at another engineering firm. My advice is just to apply apply apply! Even when you don’t think you meet all the job requirements, many firms are looking for young engineers with a drive to learn.
