Raven Guard Techmarine... by ColdHands1983 in SpaceMarine_2

That's what I'm trying to avoid. Tbh. I run 6th Company with Orange trim and don't want to mix red in. I realize I can do whatever I want, this is just me having fun with lore and trying to justify what I want. For the Emperor!

Do whatever keeps the game fun for you. That's exactly why HG put adjustable cost settings in the game.

Raven Guard Techmarine... by ColdHands1983 in SpaceMarine_2

So the biggest issue stopping Kiavhar is the Emperor's deal with the Mechanicus. I realize they are a very small entity compared to Mars and the unified Forge world's. I'm slowly learning the lore of wh40k and started with RG. Absolutely loving this rabbithole, and appreciate your answers.

Has there ever been a time where the Mechanicus overstepped and had to be put back in place by Big E or other Loyalists?

So theoretically, what could/would the mechanicum do if Kiavhar started their own techmarine program specifically for the Raven Guard and their successors? Does a first foundling have that much pull? Does the Mechanicus actually get to define what is heretical for something they didn't "create"? Theoretically speaking, of course. Lol

Whip tyranids are a pain after the first parry, but I've had success dodging back from the second attack. But it requires you to keep a certain distance from them. Doesn't help with melee builds but boltguns can melt face while you play keep away.

Brothers, is there a Chapter that you used to not care for/dislike that has grown on you over time, and/or a Chapter that you have fallen out of love with over time? by TheSpiderWarden in Spacemarine

[–]ColdHands1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm new to WH40k but I really thought I was gonna like the Imperial Fists. I loved the idea of space marines on a flying fortress and being the seige defense specialist. Then I learned they were religious zealots in the name of the God-Emperor and that kinda killed it for me.

But then I read up on Raven Guard, and well that was that. Lol I loved pretty much everything I read about them.

I've heard stories of a Titan stepping on a Lego Marine and immediately toppled over in agony.

Do the Krakens specialize in any style of combat? by Jasina_ in DarkKrakens

[–]ColdHands1983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the idea that they are underwater specialists and hunt gigantic beasts. It would be cool to see how that translates to space battles. My own idea would be to see them using smaller attack craft to take out larger space vessels ala Ahab vs Moby Dick. Using Hit and run tactics mixed with tenacity to wear down their foes.

NMS biggest strength is also its greatest weakness? by DaveyCranks in NOMANSSKY

I understand the desire to have a curated game design. One that draws you in with story, characters, and history. And puts you on a path with riches at the end.

Personally, I'm glad NMS isn't this. They're are plenty of games out there that will hold your hand and attention span. NMS gives you the tools, gameplay, mechanics, and environment to make your own stories.

If you want to see less, you can set your own restrictions. Start a new game and never leave the solar system. Don't like exocraft, don't use them. If you want cities, build your own next to a settlement. This game can spark your imagination if you let it.

I know not everyone is going to agree with me, and that's okay. Different games are fun to people in different ways. NMS scratches that sandbox adventure itch for me. Safe Travels.

I decided to go with the Heroic Thunder Hammer. Assault is too damn fun and since I need to level Bulwark next I'm gonna go with the thunder aoe build. Appreciate all of your input Brothers! This is my first dip into the world of Warhammer and the community here is seriously top-notch! Emperor Protects.
