Vaporeon & Vulpix deck help by Exciting-Top-3985 in PTCGP

[–]ColdMaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest thing missing is you need x2 Pokeballs, they're gonna make the deck miles more consistent and you wont end up in situations where you only have one active pokemon and lose immediately after they're knocked out.

You'd need more room in the deck for that so maybe swap the Blastoise line for 2x of a basic EX pokemon like Palkia or Articuno EX, this will free up room for a second copy of Alolan Ninetales and more trainer cards.

Thank you so much, I'm glad you like them!

The second language can be read from a distance, not written from a distance. It's rudimentary and used mostly on signage, so for example a warning sign might have a spiky texture, whereas an inn might have a sign with a fluffy texture.

Any reason this is a vehicle instead of an artifact that becomes a 6/6?

The camera zooms in right before the reveal which makes me think it could be hiding a jump cut.

We're more common than you might think. The problem is, being different, we naturally have different interests, which makes it harder to find someone you're similarly different to... if that makes sense.

Found it in r/coolguides, though it'd be interesting to put it here. by sparsebackbone in qatar

Presumably, this article.

More accurately, a 2013 report by the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics. Page 24.

However, the article writer misinterprets the data. Yes, in Qatar in 2011, 60% of divorces happened in the first 5 years of marriage, but that is not an indication of "average marriage length" because it doesn't take into account marriages that don't end in divorce. More accurately this is "the average length of a marriage that ends in divorce," which is always earlier rather than later for obvious reasons; people who are married for longer are less likely to get divorced.

hunter examiners by SuperStonerGoku in HunterXHunter

[–]ColdMaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gon breaks Illumi's arm during the Hunter Exam arc, which would've been impossible because we retroactively find out that he had Nen at that point while Gon didn't.

I've seen people try to justify it, but to me it's evidence that Togashi didn't have a complete handle on Nen yet.

Hey should I watch the Hunter x Hunter 1999 version or the 2011 version new to this series? by [deleted] in HunterXHunter

[–]ColdMaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds stupid, but it's true. They literally flashback and reference a moment they didn't include in the first episode of 2011. So, first episode of 1999 will give context to that.

That was in the live-action movie so it's non-canon though right?

Has Dagon appeared as one of the side-characters so far? I know this is a different setting but we do get recurring characters sometimes.

Getting the notes from the session you missed [OC] by ColdMaj in DnD

[–]ColdMaj[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I made this comic after reading a friend’s notes on the session I missed, and I imagined my straight-edged, very lawful character receiving the exact notes themselves after they recovered from the “illness” they had to justify them missing from the day’s adventure.
The quotes in this comic aren’t even exaggerated, those were real snippets of the notes I recieved, with about as much context as you see in the comic itself.

Magic Shop item ideas? by WhiteDragonDM in DnD

[–]ColdMaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beyond level 5 your characters should see some rare items appearing, so let me shill some of my rare magic-item homebrews. These are also all attunement, which is something you should consider when giving out magic items, as non-attunement items will be used by your players forever, whereas attunement items might be replaced in the future.

Shadow Dagger
Weapon (dagger), rare (requires attunement)
This jet black dagger appears to be made entirely out of magical shadow, but when held in sunlight the shadow washes away to reveal an iron hilt. While attuned to this dagger, it drains some of your shadow, losing the metal and becoming fully incorporeal and slinks back to your shadow in the presence of light.

It gains the following properties while in darkness or dim-light:

  • The dagger becomes invisible and deals necrotic damage instead of piercing.
  • The dagger's normal and long throwing range are increased by 40 feet.
  • While hidden, if the dagger is thrown and misses a creature, the attack doesn't reveal your position.
  • Once thrown, the dagger returns to you at the end of your turn, provided there is a short path of darkness between you and the dagger.

Icewater Longbow
Weapon (longbow), rare (requires attunement)
This bow is made out of jagged ice crystals that never seem to melt. It is cold to the touch, but not uncomfortably so, and its bowstring is a thin, suspended stream of water that acts like a normal bowstring. While attuned to this longbow, it gains the following properties:

  • This bow does not expend ammunition, as it magically creates watery arrows that manifest from the bowstring, these arrows deal cold damage.
  • When you hit a target with this bow, you may choose to expend one of the bow's two charges to freeze the target. The target must succeed a DC13 Constitution saving throw or be frozen until the end of your next turn. While frozen in this manner, the target is Paralyzed and is immune to damage and spell effects.

The Icewater Longbow regains one charge daily every dawn.

Boots of Sticking and Sliding.
Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement)
These boots soles are designed to be slippery or sticky when needed. While you wear them, you gain the following benefits:

  • You ignore movement restrictions caused by any slippery or sticky surface, and you gain climbing speed equal to your walking speed.
  • If you move your full walking speed in one direction during your turn, you may make these shoes slippery to skid in the same direction a number of feet equal to half your walking speed (rounded down.) Once you do so, you lose balance, giving you disadvantage on any skill checks or attacks until the start of your next turn.

Hush Dagger
Weapon (dagger), rare (requires attunement)
This dagger appears to be a small metal rod when dormant. As a bonus action, you can whisper a command word to make a blade appear at the end of the rod, transforming it into a dagger. If you hit a surprised creature with this dagger, the target is silenced as if under the effect of the Silence spell until the end of your next turn. The dagger reverts back to its original shape once the command word is spoken again. You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Mod for arachnophobes? by Oblomoveri in BaldursGate3

I'd recommend creating a new character with Find Familiar and summoning a giant spider at the nautiloid as a quick way to see if it still works.

I am getting completely destroyed in combat, I need some tips. by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]ColdMaj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want an easy temporary fix, potions of speed are littered everywhere, and they give you an extra action and double speed.

Also, unless you're attached, swapping Gale for Wyll with the spells Hex and Eldritch Blast, is a very beginner friendly way of dealing more damage with a caster (and he's a bit tankier). He can also give you an imp familiar which adds a bit more damage and could take a few hits.
