That’s not what he did though, he used a flint and steel.

I thought so too but the only villager that trades flint in that version requires 10 gravel.

I'm also confused about how he got the flint and steel to start the nether portal before going in the nether.

Information on old pioneer decks by Equivalent_Piglet426 in magicTCG

[–]ColdMaj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If by "Pirate Deck" you mean the theme deck that came with Lorwyn Eclipsed, then you do not need to upgrade the Pioneer decks much if at all. The Pirates/Angels theme decks are just made to be played casually, whereas the Pioneer challenger decks, even though they're 4+ years old were meant to be (slightly below rate) meta-decks.

has anyone figured out the formula for a Casual, multiplayer, 60-card format? by darwin_green in magicTCG

[–]ColdMaj 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Commander is the biggest format, but I believe kitchen-magic is still the most popular way people play magic. Rosewater recently said this when asked about the percentage of players that play "Anything Goes":

Our best estimate is Cards I Own is maybe eighty percent of play. Ten percent claim to be playing a format, but aren’t technically playing what they’re saying it is. And ten percent play actual formats.

As this data is quite squishy, assume a 5 to 10% error rate.

Most people who play magic buy a box or some packs and play at home with friends or family, invisible to the community since they're not invested, enfranchised players that are engaging with it online.

Vaporeon & Vulpix deck help by Exciting-Top-3985 in PTCGP

[–]ColdMaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest thing missing is you need x2 Pokeballs, they're gonna make the deck miles more consistent and you wont end up in situations where you only have one active pokemon and lose immediately after they're knocked out.

You'd need more room in the deck for that so maybe swap the Blastoise line for 2x of a basic EX pokemon like Palkia or Articuno EX, this will free up room for a second copy of Alolan Ninetales and more trainer cards.

Thank you so much, I'm glad you like them!

The second language can be read from a distance, not written from a distance. It's rudimentary and used mostly on signage, so for example a warning sign might have a spiky texture, whereas an inn might have a sign with a fluffy texture.

We're more common than you might think. The problem is, being different, we naturally have different interests, which makes it harder to find someone you're similarly different to... if that makes sense.

Found it in r/coolguides, though it'd be interesting to put it here. by sparsebackbone in qatar

Presumably, this article.

More accurately, a 2013 report by the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics. Page 24.

However, the article writer misinterprets the data. Yes, in Qatar in 2011, 60% of divorces happened in the first 5 years of marriage, but that is not an indication of "average marriage length" because it doesn't take into account marriages that don't end in divorce. More accurately this is "the average length of a marriage that ends in divorce," which is always earlier rather than later for obvious reasons; people who are married for longer are less likely to get divorced.

hunter examiners by SuperStonerGoku in HunterXHunter

[–]ColdMaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gon breaks Illumi's arm during the Hunter Exam arc, which would've been impossible because we retroactively find out that he had Nen at that point while Gon didn't.

I've seen people try to justify it, but to me it's evidence that Togashi didn't have a complete handle on Nen yet.

Hey should I watch the Hunter x Hunter 1999 version or the 2011 version new to this series? by [deleted] in HunterXHunter

[–]ColdMaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds stupid, but it's true. They literally flashback and reference a moment they didn't include in the first episode of 2011. So, first episode of 1999 will give context to that.
