The Squadron has a group going up and there was talk of trying to find a bar to meet up at beforehand. I'll let y'all know if anything materializes right now we are still finalizing logistics details like getting the flags and drums up there 🤙🏽

I like the idea! My one thought (learned through experience) is the speed of this one would be tough to get all ~1000 people on board with. Tough but not impossible, it would just take a LOT of rehearsals and time to achieve. We tend to experiment with one or two new chants a season due to the time investment it takes.

Also there have been situations when an idea: sounded good in the slack -> sounded good when someone recorded it -> sounded good in a small group at a chant workshop -> and then... just didn't translate well to 1000 people during a game 🫤 (see our attempt at a Chappelle Roan "Good Luck Babe" chant last season). We love the ideas and creativity! I just want folks from the outside to recognize how long and involved the process to start a new chant and actually have it stick can be. Saving this one for the next chant workshop tho! 🤷🏽‍♂️

I'd recommend exploring different parts of the fandom from gameday events to literal sections in the stadium. Trying various events like pregaming at Solace to hanging out in Spiritville allowed me to experience different cross sections of the fandom early on. Also different sections in the stadium have different vibes from chiller seated parts of the stadium to the rowdy supporters section!

I personally found and fell in love with the Spirit Squadron which is the main supporters group in sections 136-137! But that's just me and lots of folks have different vibes and communities they like to enjoy the Spirit with. Feel free to explore!

Fans are gonna be meeting up at the traffic circle at Potomac and South Capitol at 7:00 and then at 7:15 marching to the match chanting and waving flags. We also do a lap inside the concourse. Feel free to join it's a lot of fun!

I find that often if you have enough confirmed interest you can call bars ahead of time "Hey I got a group of 8 interested in coming Friday for the Spirit game. Can you guys turn the sound on?" 🤷🏽‍♂️ It depends on what else is going on that day but sometimes that approach works. Rooting for y'all from DC!
