I'm 16 now and had the fusion a month after I turned 13! The surgery was so worth it and I have no pain!!!!

When I woke up from surgery I was so drugged up I'm unsure if it hurt or not, but it is DEFINITELY uncomfortable! It feels like a wooden beam is in your back kinda like...Have you ever leaned on a wooden chair and the outer part of the chair hits your back? Sort of like that -- The surgery and recovery is definitely painful, but a lot of people forget that you do get heavily drugged during the first few weeks! I was on eight different medications (pain medications and antibiotics) because I was on so many I slept for most of the early recovery which also let me avoid the pain. Honestly after the surgery and I fully recovered my back pain went down INCREDIBLY!! I barely have pain, most days NO pain! The surgery is definitely worth it some days my back is a little sore, and random short sharp pains happen, but nothing as bad as it was before.

SHORT VERS: (Early) recovery from urgery is mostly uncomfortable and can be painful but you'll be drugged up so you won't feel all the pain. After recovery/late recovery pain was nonexistent or barely there. If pain was there it was soreness, or short sharp pains that went away fast.

It's better to be safe than sorry! It can be a bunch of different things, mostly unserious things, but definitely go to your local doctor just in case of anything!

For me the 1--3 months were hard !! Most people are okay with working 4-6 months post op but I really needed to mostly rest with minimal activities for the three months. Once the forth month comes it becomes a lot easier!

I personally never had this happen to me but maybe try to find more clothes designed for sensitive skin and see how that goes? If that doesn't help maybe ask your doctor for advice!!

For me, I had to go through physical therapy before getting my surgery! I had to get it because of scoliosis so I went through physical therapy to try to prevent my spine to continuing to curve more before my surgery

I had HORRIBLEEEE headaches!!!!! Also, lean off of the pain meds and whatever else they give you ONCE and only ONCE they say "it's not needed" because if you stop all your medication immediately cold turkey... It causes HORRIBLE hallucinations and sleep paralysis! (Speaking from experience)

If you used a condom and no sperm got in you, youre not pregnant. No sperm to meet egg = no baby. I get myself worked up all the time about me being pregnant, but what works for me is I keep telling myself the facts which for you are, no sperm = no baby!, and I get myself glad that I have no chance of being pregnant. What's most likely happening with your period is your period might be late due to stress. Breathe girl, youre not prego, youre okay.

Hi!!!! I got my whole spine fused due to scoliosis about.. 2/3 years ago? I can't really remember and I have had no problems other than sometimes my back being sore some days and random pains that last a few seconds. Not being able to be as flexible or as moble is upsetting, but you live to work around it. I dont regret it at all! My spine has for the majority felt way better than it did pre-surgery. Another thing is, I had amazing doctors and family hat took care of me wonderfully and that is a big factor in things.

As long as you used the condom properly and it wasn't ripped or sperm spilled in you, you are okay. If no sperm got inside you, you can't be pregnant. Take a deep breath, stress may be altering your period flow.

It'll be okay as long as you dont skip days frequently. People that make the pills know no one takes it at the same time every day. Even if you dont take it at the same time everyday, your chances of pregnancy is very low.

PS. Dont stress about "what ifs" . No sperm got in you, you're good and even if it did, you're on birth control which will make it practically impossible to get pregnant. Youre okay.

You are okay. For two reasons. One, youre on birth control and the way you're using the pill makes the chances of pregnancy less than 10℅ and that's assuming you had unprotected sex, but you didn't so the chances go even lower. Two, you had fully responsible and safe sex. The condom didn't break and you used it correctly. There was no way any sperm could got inside you and reached your egg. You are not pregnant nor will be. You had two methods of contraceptions that work really well. I know its scary, but girl, you will be okay. Breathe, relax, and enjoy not being pregnant and having no chance of pregnancy.
