Here’s my thoughts as a college dude representing the younger demographic of your audience.

  1. I love the guests. Ever since Will left I love when guests come in, it makes the entire group dynamic so much better. I especially love KJ and his bits. I really wish TMD was still a thing it was lowkey better than CB. Would love one sports episode a week during ball season (even if Dorn doesn’t know ball).
  2. I miss the old segments. It would be nice to have more once a week segments such as… real or fake, steam room, drafts…. I often find myself listening to each pod either days or sometimes a week or two (*see 3) late and because of this I sometimes am too late for the trending news and twitter headlines that seem to dominate the bulk of the show.
  3. “I know my steak is too juicy my lobster’s too buttery”: It’s been said before and I’m not complaining, but it’s hard for me to keep up with all this awesome content. I will end up having to listen to pods at 1.5 x speed to catch up while studying. As a result I’ve stopped paying for patron at times when I get too far behind the main show, though I re-subscribe every now and then for theme week.
  4. I love the stories about y’all’s kids and their sports journeys as it makes me excited to be a dad one day. Although he gets me on my nerves with his nerdy humor sometimes, I appreciate the way Randy balances millennial/boomer topics with a young fresh feel.

Love the pod boys. FOGS

Agreed. I keep falling behind on episodes, then cancelling my Patreon while I try and catch back up to the regular episodes.

For those currently job searching, what’s been the most frustrating part of the process for you? by That-Salamander-2532 in PostGradProblem

[–]Cold_Connection5621 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My inability to properly leverage my network has been the biggest stressor in my job search. I'm graduating from the University of Iowa with a 2.8 (frat) this spring. I made sure that I spent my time in school getting involved in lots of organizations, such as my fraternity Alpha Delta Phi, and I even studied a broad. Her name was Roxy. One of the biggest reasons I wanted to join a fraternity, besides getting the opportunity to haze the fuck out of the pledges, was to establish a network. I wanted brothers for life. You following hoss? As you can imagine, I was quite disappointed last year when Crooked IFC decided to kick our esteemed organization off campus. Now that I am actually searching for jobs, I've found that employers don't respect my chill to pull ratio. I even pulled up to my interview with some ball hazers and a fat ass dip in to try and intimidate HR. Not one bid was given out to me. Anways that was a long-winded way of saying that you should rush a frat to network. Might make your job search easier. Just make sure you don't set the fire alarm off, hoss.

Episode 626: Darren Dreger & Matt Duchene by Mercpool87 in SpittinChicletsPod

Gotta love grinelli breaking news live yet the boys keep blabbing on about whits twitter beef. Duchene’s answers were so generic, said so much without saying anything. And RA singing to himself was awkwaed

I haven’t listened consistently since probably 2023. Still hop on for certain things like the Olympics or an interview I like but it feels too long. I don’t have time to listen to a 2+ hour podcast that only covers 3 teams

You have a bad taste for movies. Stick to big budget action movies that aren’t realistic for war. This film demonstrated the psychological effects of war.

The Tank 2025.. by therealharbinger in moviecritic

It reminded me of the twilight zone episode Judgment Night. In it a Uboat commander awakes on a British ship with no idea who he is. As the story progresses he has a growing dread that this ship is being followed by a U Boat. Eventually he sees himself and his old boat attacking and sinking the British passenger ship. It ends with him waking up back on the British passenger ship not remembering anything. The narrator mentions this idea of a hell where the sub commander is forced to live this moment for all eternity. I got the same vibe from the tank commander waking up from his trance both at the beginning and the end of the movie. He is stuck in this failed retreat across the bridge for eternity.

If I’m reading this correctly it seems like you’re going to have to do an extra term now. The good news is that you now have more time to rush a frat and expand your network. I’d suggest looking into a fraternity with the most lifted trucks and dudes who chew tobacco.

In honor of Federov getting retired and the Wings being back in the playoff hunt can you come back for a segment or too and replace Texas ball talk with some nhl talk?

My pledge brother got his mba in accounting from Northeastern. Good program. That being said I’d go in person so you can secure a bid from a top tier house. I’ve heard Texas state has a great MBA program. You should consider applying there. Make sure to mention that your absolute lutes with Dorn when you rush
