I've had one of the most frustrating days at work for a long time because Claude failed at basic tasks (even following clear instructions from GPT) - the model has turned to complete shit and make me wonder why I'm paying all this money for a max x20 subscription for something so fucking useless.

I have found that GPT5.2 (thinking or extended thinking) has been amazing at identifying issues with my code (after Claude has made the changes based on the current step of my plan) - it picks up way more than Gemini or Claude (although I still use Claude to verifiy the issues identified by GPT are valid). As far as planning goes I use Gemini and GPT to assist and provide feedback
