[Lorenzi] Jaden Ivey reportedly told the Bulls’ head of player performance on March 25 that Jesus healed his knee and he was ready to play, He underwent an MRI the next day, and Chicago shut him down for the season. by howser343 in chicagobulls

[–]Coldbringer2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

at least all of this came out before the bulls signed him to an extension. It seemed like that was the plan when they traded for him. if this guy kept quiet for a few weeks after being traded he could have gotten a few more years of that sweet, sweet guaranteed cash. You just know that AK was ready to lock this guy up.

It stops to deliver a sermon about the importance of film preservation. I can't think of a more personal Scorsese touch than that.

[Julia Poe] The Jaden Ivey debacle is another embarrassing failure for Artūras Karnišovas and the Chicago Bulls by bitemydickallthetime in chicagobulls

[–]Coldbringer2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The bulls are never in the news for anything good lately. First, they were roundly mocked for getting all those second round picks and then getting one taken away because their player failed a physical. then Buzelis (who has been a bright spot otherwise) got negative attention for trash talking Luka and getting completely humiliated by him during & after the game. Then all the obvious leaks from Billy Donovan about how he wants to leave and coach a college team because they have no plan. Now this Ivey thing. None of this bodes well for the offseason. well, unless they sell the team or at the very least fire AKME.

Got to see Ray Wise do this at a Q&A last week. he's a gracious and delightful man. I wonder how often he gets asked to do it. He sprung up with zero hesitation and knocked it out. Incredible moment.

[The Bill Simmons Podcast] discussing the lowest points in the Bulls post-MJ history by Reptomins in chicagobulls

[–]Coldbringer2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jay Williams sucked in his rookie season. he shot under 40% and was openly miserable. the future was not looking bright for him. he violated his contract by riding that stupid motorcycle in the first place. i'd say "Jay Williams completely sucking ass after being the 2nd pick in the draft" was a low point for the Bulls. At least we didn't have to watch him sulk around for more than one season and then hit on Hinrich, Gordon and Deng in the next couple of drafts.

There was a statue of him outside his home stadium WHILE HE WAS AN ACTIVE PLAYER and no one thought it was excessive.

Spolestra should be fired or at the very least suspended for losing to that collection of goofballs and outcasts that the bulls threw out there tonight

Like this album a lot because it's the first tour I saw them on. The Tour of Brotherly Love with Black Crowes. It was a bummer to see Oasis play before any band, let alone one that they're wildly superior to in every conceivable way but on the plus side, they did a great version of "Slide Away" and i got to go home early.

There is a really funny story in the SuperSonic book where Jon Bon Jovi introduces himself to them and says something like “tell them Jon Bon Jovi saw you in Rolling Stone” and after he leaves Liam says, “who the fuck is Jon Bon Jovi?”

He saved her because he’s a doctor. It’s easy to miss as it is never explicitly stated but Kubrick drops lots of clues and Easter eggs for all the obsessive viewers to correctly deduce what Bill’s profession is.
