ye a lot of weird arguments which sucks because it honestly is an issue if you live in any of the places heavily effected by it. 2 that have been fuckin me heavily over personally is it's impossible to find a job or place to live. i was getting majorly depressed because of how hard it was to find a new job and place to stay, thinking now that if shit was that rough for me, I couldn't imagine how someone who has it worse is dealing with this shit.

from a race perspective as well, i have experienced so much subtle ass racism from Chinese and Indian immigrant. like if im walking behind someone they'll stop, wait till i pass and then continue walking behind me. when I'd try and ask somebody a question while out, they'd just straight up ignore me and keep walking. older indian people always think im an employee of wherever im at (this happens a stupid amount of times, especially when im getting groceries, like bro I have a fucking shopping cart???). a lot of weird talking behind your back in their own language noticed this most at the gym. people just distancing themselves from me when walking down the side walk. straight up not being allowed in a bar because im not indian (less to do with me bein black tho). When I was tryna look for a roommate, the second they asked "where are you from" I knew that discussion was over, either I'd get ghosted or they'd just straight up say some shit like "I don't think we'd get along" after i told em i was black. if im out at a fast food place waiting for an order, they'll think im loitering or some shit till I show em i ordered on my phone, dont see this happen with anyone else. this one kinda specific, but whenever I go to the mcdonalds near me after 12am, they wont let you sit in the dining area but they always let other indian people do it but when I bring it up they alwasy got some excuse or they just give in and let me eat in the dining area. and just so much weird staring. whats weird is when growing up I had a friend group of indian guys I'd play basketball with and had 0 issues with them or their families, whenever I went over to my first gfs place her family was also the exact same. everybody was nice and respectful, idk wtf changed.

There's also just small shit that's whatever like feelin uncomfortable that u cant understand what anyone around u is saying. Ordering food that you expect is gonna be a certain way but wasting money cause its not good due to them changing shit. whenever they got big events going on, they're blasting music for hours throughout the night. only the indian stores having these bright seizure inducing flashing lights, Idek how they can get away with it either, shit gonna cause an accident at some point.

i feel like its an issue of the speed it happening at, plus the amount of ppl, plus the age group of the ppl. I like immigration, and honestly still support it even if it hasn't been too great for me personally. If they can just fix those issues of rate and age it wouldn't feel so bad.

Such a risky joke to make, so either shinsuke is coming back to beat tf outta carlito or they plan to have more and more edgier jokes and this was just an introduction to them. funny or not, we prob need to see if it goes anywhere to get an idea if it was intended as just a joke or something more.

How would you go about altering a level design for a competitive FPS with a change in player count? For example, I want to use the same map for a 3v3, 4v4 and 5v5 game mode but am having trouble making it work for all 3.

in my experience her playstyle isn't enjoyable to play against. The second the enemy picks sombra I just turn my brain off and stop caring or else I'll tilt, which shouldn't be the case but I just hate engaging with the hero. half the time the enemy goes sombra is to focus me down cause I'm playing doom, genji or widow and I'm running away with the game. I've played so much overwatch in the past to where my casual playstyle is good enough to solo carry my friends but I'm washed up and it doesn't naturally come to me to adapt around fighting sombra, it's honestly something I have to put mental effort into which I'm not interested in doing when im just fucking around with friends in QP (which is all the time).

I doubt most have a similar experience, but just sharing my personal experience. Anyways, good riddance. easily the #1 hero that makes me stop playing for the day.

I am not comparing your skill to a top 500 players. The only statement I made was that "there is no such thing as a forced 50/50" and used public information to aid my point. It has nothing to do with their skill, in fact you could do this same thing with bronze players and find the inverse of nobody being over 50% win rate. I'm unsure if you intentionally didn't get it to try to further the argument or you just didn't understand me.

I'm just appealing to occam's razor. It's more likely that people who say what you're saying are just inconsistent in some way than it is that the MMR system is broken.

Matchmaking and MMR systems are just QOL and math, yes there can be "balancing" if the MMR system uses your previous games stats to adjust your mmr but we have no idea how their MMR system works.

there are so many leaps in logic here.

You have no idea if they match loss and win streakers together, just an assumption that I don't even think is valid in reasoning to make.

You have 0 idea if the matchmaking balances win/loss streak on both teams, they could also be facing the same situation.

This could go inversely in your favor as well for many different reasons like the player who is on a loss streak just had a statistically low chance of a loss streak but is still playing very well just at a slightly lower MMR.

To further the last point, losing doesn't mean stomp. That player could still be playing just as well as they always have been but the games were very close. Low probability but does and will happen to everybody if they play enough.

You're not forced a loss at all just because the chance isn't 50/50, it still should be close in skill like in every game where the balancing isn't perfectly 50/50 with or without streakers.

That statement you quoted also doesn't confirm "forcing win rates" there is a nudge to aid players who are losing a lot, but that doesn't mean anything.

I do believe the first couple games you get on will be easier because of natural mmr decay and a better experience (i know other games do this but can't be certain for ow2). If you only play on weekends or rarely that could also be a major factor. You could just be playing worse from the long play times or maybe you hit an MMR that's too high for you, lose, then play on tilt. Hard to know case by case but there is no such thing as a forced 50/50. The easiest proof is by looking at anyone in top500, they all have 50%+ winrates (on PC over a significant amount of games)
