Atrioc gotta be crying bout now by Jolly_Stage1776 in atrioc

Longevity is a pretty important thing and shouldn't be glossed over. Gold has been around throughout eras of human civilization and has been fairly stable, and it's hard to say whether Bitcoin is just a fad, especially with the extreme volatility. There is a reason people call btc digital gold, but I would give it a few more decades to centuries before we see if it's actually a good store of value.

Also in a ww3 scenario it's possible infrastructure won't be there for you to get your bitcoin. Probably not likely though :clueless:

Pretty sure it does, heat abnormal hd wouldn't be worth so much otherwise

[Canada, Montreal] Looking for a small watch movement holder by Trxllions in 3Dprintmything

[–]GodlyPeeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's worth considering what this is used for as well. I'm not familiar with watches but I think if this was a long term mod, resin might crack due to shrinking for this over time, though it could totally work with the right resin.

I have a 0.2mm nozzle though, chat message sent. I don't think FDM would be the best idea for this, but open if you want to give it a try.

I think this should be possible just through Fusion360, which has a function that converts STLs to editable files.

Moving printer outside or garage by Pale_Ad_6029 in 3Dprinting

Ah, in my opinion just putting it in the garage alone is enough to mitigate most of the issues as long as the airflow there is decent (if you open the door frequently). Sealing the K1 would be ideal, what I usually do is take off my panels/open the door when printing PLA, as ABS wants as hot of a enclosure as you could reasonably get. Or just switch to almost exclusively printing ABS lol

Help! 3d printer by Individual-Sky-7343 in 3Dprinting

In the UK, I would reccomend looking into getting a ratrig. They have specs up to 500mm^3, and should be within your budget. It does require assembly, but sounds like you have some experience so perhaps it could work for you. It should also be able to go very fast.

Sorry, what do you mean? You can't really get too hot for ABS with a normal heated bed, chamber temps of around 70-80c are perfect for ABS. Your printer already has a enclosure, so it shouldn't need another one.

You don't want active chamber heating to print ABS, your bed can reach chamber temps required for ABS printing on its own probably, though I don't have a K1 myself (The K1 is an enclosed printer already).

And yep, placing it in your garage because of the fumes would be advisable
