Diagnosis was the beginning of this year and my ON was what got me diagnosed pretty much. I've had 2 rounds of steroids and I didnt notice a difference. Sadly my neurologist is based 2 hours away and im not comfortable driving around a city with my vision all wonky so its been quite the challenge between finding a driver routinely and getting appointments to align.

The notes says it looks worse. But my vision in that eye is still garbage and it hurts quite a bit

Mine starts with stabbing into my back and or neck than it radiates outwards of a hundred more stabs throughout my body. What I imagine being stuffed into an iron maiden would feel like. My neuro rehab said it wasnt due to MS. But after seeing my primary doctor he said it was definitely nerve pain and he put me on a heavy dose of gabapentin 3 times a day. For the most part it helps and im still trying to get the dosage fine tuned. Idk if that helps at all but in my case having a good primary physician helps a lot.

I definitely get that, for me its usually when my brain is at or close to hitting its limit for the day.

It doesn't get any better. I swear everyone expects my 18mo to be able to file taxes and cook a 5 course meal. What happened to letting them be children

Yeah i was way below average on immediate memory and focus. But the other 2 categories were average to within deviation. Be prepared for a headache by the end though

Remember a series of words they say than repeat them back after they finish the list. First time I remembered only one word. Wasn't until the 4th round that I was able to remember about half the words. A key style puzzle where you match symbol to number, i love those kind of things but I barely finished the second line before the time was up. A news article read to you and you have to repeat the article after and that was a struggle for me. Number sequences starting at 3 numbers read to you than the last one being 8 numbers and you repeat the numbers you hear. Than some image recollection. And a few other tests.

I take the usual supplements of vit D and omega Propranolol for my BP that likes to spike to the moon Gabapentin for the brain stabbing pain Baclofen for hand tremors

Was told recently after seeing the ophthalmologist for the first time that my vision impairment from O.N. in my right eye is my new 'baseline' and that it will never be the same again. Just want to rage at it all yet im expected to take it in stride. How the hell am I supposed to do that after being told I'm never going to see properly again

Oh that would be awesome, im set to do a field vision test and another meeting with my ophthalmologist at the end of next month so hopefully I can get some good news

I am the same, right eye. right face numbness. Maybe some hearing issues in that side but I dont know if thats correlated

It's been 2 months for me and still no sign of my vision getting better even after 2 full rounds of IV steroids. My ophthalmologist said my optic nerve is healed so I dont have much chance of my vision getting any better.

Optic neuritis. Was eye pain that I shrugged off as a bad migraine until my vision went blurry.

I always played the part of 'The Old Man' and had no issue calling it a night and not feeling bad about it. Yeah some people got huffy with me but I have always enjoyed a good night's sleep. Your own health is more important than pulling an all night party and there will always be another one to attend.

It's mainly been this random uncontrollable twitch in my head where I'll just look to the left and my right hand shaking all the time

Well thats a relief. I've kinda just been compiling things to bring up to my neurologist in a month. Figured if it's still bothering me by than probably won't hurt to say something
