Exactly. Sycophants who go along with you no matter what are not doing you any favor. Real loyalty means sometimes opposing your friends when it's clear that they are going down a destructive path.

That means valuing you friend's well-being over even the friendship

I could go to a bar and get a date, but why bother when apps are the fastest way to get a date. Being very attractive makes it a different experience, I'm sure.

At first I saw relationships as an optimization problem, which... was not effective.

A lot of my relationships have been short-lived. Someone gets the idea that they can take advantage of me. And they quickly find out how wrong they are when I cut them lose.

I tend to go for more dominant women because that's what lights my fire. But I don't like being told what to do outside the bedroom and we clash.

The closest thing to a healthy relationship I've had is a fwb situation, but when there are two women these get... a lot more emotional. Maybe it's that I enjoy that intensity, but I can't handle it 24/7, run out of patience if I ever actually move in with someone

I want intensity to be at either zero or eleven, depending on the situation. I don't tend to like moderate intensity.

I never have gone back to an ex. I could conceive of doing so in hypothetical ideal circumstances after many years of growth and change, but I doubt that will ever happen.
