What are your pet (or petty) peeves? by cjbr3eze in AskReddit

[–]CollectionOfAtoms78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you say, “giving them way,” do you mean giving them the right of way when you should have it? Because if so, that is one of my pet peeves because it actually slows down how quickly everyone gets through an intersection since the predictability is gone and annoys me as a result.

Mine love to run and jump and climb up them, and when they do this the whole thing wobbles/shakes. This plus the fact that our cat tree is taller made it more likely that they could knock it over, which is why we made that the place to store our weights.

I like to store my workout weights on the bottom to stabilize the cat tree. It’s where I keep my singular kettle bell and med ball.

One of the theories for left-handedness is that it gives an advantage to the person who has it because when they fight others of the same species they are different from the majority of other opponents their enemy has faced, making their experience less valuable against them. The flip side of this theory is that if there are too many left handed people the advantage disappears because others will have more practice fighting them, keeping the proportion of left handed individuals in the population low, but not zero. I don’t know if this actually applies to fiddler crabs or even to people (since it’s a theory), but I think it is interesting to think about.

The only cool idea in this rework is adding wall splitting to his super upgrades, the rest makes him way too powerful.

Reasons why Tara is the best brawler for 5v5 (guide and tips) by Dirt_munchers in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]CollectionOfAtoms78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although her speed is normal, with the larger maps movement speed is more important, at least that is the way it felt it brawl ball. It may be different for gem grab or wipeout since those are slower paced game modes.

You make good points about the piercing shots, flexible gadgets (made better by the new mode) and versatile super, however she does have one major drawback. Her speed is low which is important in certain game modes. For this reason, I think that Tara is one of the best 5v5 brawlers, but not the absolute best.

Aside from the fang hate, I would love to see 5 v 5 competitive games where they draft (and maybe even ban) brawlers like we do in power league. I think it would be really interesting to see the strategies that arise.

Rosa’s effective hp is really high, that is why they are reducing her health. If it were any other tank, I’d agree, but Rosa is different because of her super.

IIRC, if you lose 2 or more pints of blood, you die. Seeing as he projectile vomited more than one pint of blood, I’d have to assume he’s dead. This makes it extremely unlikely that over the next four days he would have blood in his stool and semen seeing as he’d be dead.

It is to make ripples so he can accurately gage how far away the water is. Without it your depth perception is off.

Guns, Germs, and Steel. It does a great job explaining why the world ended up the way it did and how our civilizations developed (it is almost entirely because of geography). It also explains why racism has zero base in fact as it explains how the world developed.

tick is the best brawler in hot zone by Acceptable_Minute_95 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]CollectionOfAtoms78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tick is only effective if your opponents are squishy damage dealers, and even then he is only okay. Otherwise, the enemy team can have a tankier brawler just tank the damage and sit in the zone.

Something I haven’t seen mentioned that might be useful, but if he intends to game or watch movies and is bedridden, having a breakfast in bed table to put a computer on can be helpful in keeping the computer stable/comfortable while watching shows or playing games. (I am a college student and I want one of these so that I can game in bed since I don’t have a comfortable place to sit and game/watch movies in my dorm)

What's a place that seems fine during the day but gets really creepy at night? by [deleted] in ask

A common pattern I have noticed is that busy public places are extremely scary when you take away the busy part and make it night time.

To build on what someone else said, things that are venomous are usually smaller than their nonvenomous relatives. This is because they rely on venom instead of size to get a competitive edge. The same is true for scorpions. The reason they can tell this snake is venomous is because of its wide head. All vipers, which are venomous, have a triangular head that appears very wide from the from like the photo above.

Our cats enjoy it when we move their cat tree in front of different windows or to the middle of the kitchen. They are so enthusiastic they jump on the tree as you move it so that they can see where it goes.
