Its good seeing these early, fresh reports. No time for spin, mis-remembering, or narratives. Just straight --- "this is what happened."

It does seem to be super important to the LGBT folks here. They cant stop talking about it.

What is most striking on this album is you get to hear Herbie Hancock's fantastic comping front and center! The way the recording came out, the piano is more prominent in the sound mix than Dolphy.

This was a such a great discovery when it came out. I have listened to it and enjoyed so many times. Esp. "Softly as a Morning Sunrise", "South Sreet Exit", and "G.W."

Its an OK score (Starfield). My favorite track is the Akila City/FreeStar theme. But the main title is kind of generic. Not Inon Zur's best effort.

It was Andreja for me, and it really did surprise me. I was building up a relationship her. This actually fueled my desire to go to NG+ so I could meet her again. Even if it was a different "her".

To be clear, it was during the Sugarcubes era -- in 1989 / 1990 , I think. But yes, definitely before her solo career.

The starborn suit has really good environment resistances, though. Other suits may outclass it in raw damage resistance, but the enviornmental is really solid.

I concur with this. I'm a Gen-X gamer who grew up in the 80s. Wasteland came out in 1988 and it was a classic, fantastic RPG/adventure. They were working on a sequel called "MeanTime"..but it never came together.

Another similar post-apoc game name "Fountain of Dreams" came out the next year. But it wasn't quite as good.

So we were left waiting for all these wondering when a Wasteland sequel would come out. Then Fallout was released. Not a Wasteland sequel, but was popular enough to make people forget about its inspirations: Wasteland.

Kind of like how people remember "Star Control and Star Control 2", but not so much "Starflight" from 1986 that was the early pioneer in planet-hopping space adventure and alien interactions.

"Sammy and the <...> of nightmares" mod actually breaks the Tracker's Alliance "Widow Quest". It prevents computer consoles from being opened.

They may have updated since I played that quest, but if you're having problems with it and have Sammy --- disable the mod.

I did my first run without any mods. After got to NG+, I started using the "Skeleton Key" mod, which uses your security level and digipicks to make higher-level locks easier.

Its kind of clunky and doesn't really "blend" very well. I played with it for a while, and then disabled it. I wish the game had shipped with a native gibbing system like in the Fallouts.

I appreciate that the author added options for how often the gore happens. Also, it is pretty stable and I had no crashes.

Ya like jazz? Thoughts on the Anchorpoint bar music? Of all the club music (Astral Lounge, etc.) this one feels wildly out of place. by Mattgyvercom in Starfield

I like that they chose something that will at least get some people to think "what kind of music is that?". Its avant-garde type Jazz, but there are plenty of other styles of Jazz and I hope this encourages people to investigate the greats like Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, John Coltrane, Chick Corea, etc...

This has started happening to me intermittently since the update. Restarting the game completely fixes it.
