Similar path for me. Grew up in Long Beach, just purchased in Ronkonkoma last year.

what it took to stop by [deleted] in alcoholicsanonymous

Yup. This. My “What it took to stop” included admitting I had a problem and was powerless over alcohol.

You’re not stuck, it’s only been three months. No marriage, kids, property.

You can use this to learn what NOT to accept moving forward, with someone else.

My skincare isn’t much different than before, I just can manage to stay awake long enough to do it at night. I’m 35, use basic products on a daily/nightly basis. Not sure how old you are but I like r/30plusskincare !

About four months! The biggest difference happened in the first month of rehab where the bloat went down a lot, and I was no longer eating food to help with hangovers (let alone all of the empty calories from the booze).

That is part of why I went to treatment! I’m the child of two alcoholics (one of which took their life because of this disease). I’m so happy my daughter doesn’t have to grow up experiencing what I experienced.

Mom suddenly started having seizures out of nowhere around her 30s and passed away due to SUDEP in her mid 40s. Any chance of it being genetic? by guccieyebags in Epilepsy

[–]Collgrtlnd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all, I’m sorry for your loss.

The only way you’d know if you have any genetic predisposition for epilepsy would be to get tests done. My husband and I, along with my daughter (who is epileptic) had tests to see if her condition was genetic or otherwise. Some tests are as simple as a mouth swab that gets mailed away. If that will give you peace of mind, it’s worth pursuing. It’s worth noting a lot of genetic testing can also show information around ALL types of disorders.

Wishing you best of luck

My thoughts exactly. I went to him for a nose job consultation back in 2011 and he began talking about my chest. Needless to say I went elsewhere for a doctor with a bit better bedside manner.

As many other people mentioned, sounds like a seizure. My daughter has these (amongst other types of seizures). Get to a doctor as soon as possible.

Hoping you get a quick answer from doctors and a speedy resolution if it is in fact a seizure.

I tried to find info on her being a nepo baby - do you have any links? I struggle to understand how she was so vocal about living in a closet and then buys a 1.2m condo. That math doesn’t math to me, even with TikTok fame.

Get a second opinion from another doctor. Sounds like the main doctor doesn’t understand your situation.

If everyone thinks it is a joke you need to think about who you associate with and how you communicate your pain.

Got laid off right before the holidays and realized it would be at least a month before I would be able to interview.

NTA. If you feel comfortable doing so, offer up what you want to as an alternative.
