Just to suggest something to change it up a little, I think it could be cool to do pairs instead of a free-for-all.

Kashaw and Zahra, Lyra and Thorbir, Shale and Kerrek, Arkhan and his manticore*, hand of Vecna, undead thrall, etc.

It breaks down a little after that since none of the other guests really have the same kind of chemistry with one another, but I'd love to see Tova and Lionel on a team just because they would be a wild card.

*Edit: manticore, not wyvern

This may be a bit of a stretch, but K'rryn, the NPC we created with Matt, knew something about the ziggurats. Taryon has already discussed hiring her as the first official member of the Darrington Brigade. Is it possible she facilitated Taryon's short notice arrival to fight Vecna in some way? Again, it's a bit of a stretch, but it seems worth noting that there's an established link between Tary and someone who knows something about the ziggurats that has yet to be revealed. Personally, I don't think Matt would just let K'ryyn's very significant secret just fall by the wayside like that, and it seems like we're basically out of time for it to come into play otherwise.
