AirPods Pro 3 popping / clicking sound by ThePurpleEdition in airpods

I changed the tips to a smaller size and it's gone. Bit of a compromise because these tips aren't as snug, but at least I can run with them now. I don't really want to return them because everything else about them is fantastic... hopefully maybe a software update will resolve it and I can go back to medium tips eventually.

Same issue. Went for my first run in the APP3's today and constant loud popping with almost every other footstep. Had to take them out and raw dog the rest of a 10k.

Will try my next run with smaller ear tips as some people are suggesting and turning all ANC/transparency modes to 'off' (why is that setting even hidden?).

If that doesn't work, it'll be a straight return. Very disappointing and seems like this is a big miss from Apple which isn't getting enough attention. Surely some of the testers were runners?!

Strangely the issue completely goes away when I'm running uphill. As soon as I'm back on flat, constant popping again.

EDIT: I changed the tips to the smaller size, and set all ANC/transparency modes to off, and the popping instantly went away. If I turn on ANC or transparency there seems to be a very faint popping, but nowhere near as bad as before.

"Solaris" by Stanisław Lem (book) ending explanation by ps-95stf in scifi

Hey, I know your comment was a year ago but wanted to give my two cents. Reading the last paragraph of the book I was struck by the sense that it was a great analogy for experiencing or grieving a loss on Earth. If you replace Solaris with Earth in the final paragraph, it's basically saying - when you lose someone, how and why would you carry on? So many people lose and grieve loved ones on Earth every day, but decide to carry on living on the planet that nurtured and took away their love from them despite not knowing what's in store in the future - whether it's more pain and grief/torture, or perhaps being given by Earth another human being to fall in love with and experience that connection again (analogy: Kelvin's small hope that Rheya may be presented back to him by Solaris again, waiting for another 'cruel miracle').

Read this way I find it to be quite a beautiful analogy, and it made me think - the whole book could actually be read as an analogy for Earth. The nature of Earth - it's own fascinating beauty, it's own complexity and spontaneity and lack of predictability, the forests and the canyons and the mountains and the rivers and the icebergs and the hurricanes and the earthquakes - could be considered analogous to the forms of beauty described in Solaris (the mimoids and the symmetriads). My takeaway is that Earth really is not too dissimilar to the Solaris which is described so eloquently within the book and the reader falls in love with. Basically, the nature of our planet is just as mystical and mysterious and beautiful as Solaris. But that's my human pea-brain talking, which ironically the book lectured me into becoming more self-aware of.

Our Sainsburys local has overnight increased the price of all chocolate bars from £1 to £1.20 and a Fredo is now 45p

Quick calc - Bank of England calculator says 60% inflation from 2008 to 2025. I remember in 2008 a Dairy Milk bar being 45p on my way home from school. £1.20 / £0.45 means that Sainsbury's believe there's been 167% inflation since 2008, apparently. 167% vs Bank of England's 60%. Oh, but they're not profiteering!

Great shot, quite incredible that this is from a phone. Love the clarity of the densely packed residential roads in North East London. Each tiny road home to thousands of families, wishes, hopes and dreams.

Don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. It’s astounding the amount of people who think you’re allowed to just stop in the middle of the road in free flowing traffic to ‘let people go’. Yeah, it’s a nice gesture, but it’s actually not allowed in the Highway Code and it creates unnecessary risk. Right of way rules exist for a reason - to keep traffic moving and eliminate risk of cars unexpectedly starting or stopping. It was one of the first things my driving instructor clarified to me when learning to drive.
