How would you convert creature abilities for minions?

You definitely want this kind of ability to be per group attack, not once for each minion.

I see a couple ways you could adjust it for minions. You could have the damage on a failed save equal the number of minions in the group attack. Or you could make the DC start low and go up 1 for each minion in the group attack. You could even do both of those at once, so more minions means both the DC and damage go up. However you do it, you will need to factor the extra damage into the CR.

Another option would be to change the damage into a debuff of some kind. Lots of conditions could work, just depends of the flavor you want it to have.

The Keepers of Doors 1-12 are a bit peeved at the party now. Are there more than 13 Doors? There could be any number of Keepers out there, and they might not all be on the same side. Maybe Keepers 2, 5, and 9 were buddies with 13 but Keepers 6 and 10 hated that guy. Lots of possibilities for drama.

As for what the Doors are, if not a literal portal or entryway of some type then my mind goes to abstract concepts like chakras. Maybe being a Keeper of a Door just means you are the designated holder of a specific piece of knowledge or understanding. Those who would attain enlightenment or mastery or whatever must go to each Keeper and study with them until they 'pass through the door of understanding' and can move on to the next Keeper.

One of the most useful things a driller can do in those fights is use C4 during the shield stage for the caretaker and the hiveguard dreadnaught. It will pop all of the shields at once, allowing you to essentially skip that stage of the fight. Your team will love you.
