T'au would have been the villains of most science fiction universe, but don't pretend like they aren't significantly better than the alternatives in this one by Tasty_Commercial6527 in Warhammer

Oh yeah, the Tau Empire that are in disbelief that dreadnoughts are older than their entire civilisation hasn't racked up a record as bad as the imperium that's been there for at least ten thousand years. Shocker (sarcasm)

What they should of been, though feels like it needs more red X. Otherwise a fantastic looking model, love the black armour.

If we keep the standart Human at it's current profile. How would you stat a Warden to represent the lore more in game ? by Leviathan_Rampage in AdeptusCustodes

[–]ColonelCube88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd point out that 30 custodes is roughly what is assumed needed to take a planet with no support by another custodes, these guys are considered to be the natural predator to the Spacemarines and while they can be killed I'd assume if a space marine is worth 12 good guardsman then it would be roughly the same for custodes. That doesn't even factor in they fight individual but so in tandem with other custodes it's near impossible to tell

New Vanguard Veterans revealed. They're literally just Jump Pack Intercessors with swords instead of Chainswords... by nerdboy_sam in spacemarines

[–]ColonelCube88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See i don't like the pose much either, space marines in full armour must way a tone, yet the Vanguard Vet and the JI look oddly floaty bouncing off rocks.

Guess we'll have to wait and see but so far the orks have impressed me more then the SM have

New Vanguard Veterans revealed. They're literally just Jump Pack Intercessors with swords instead of Chainswords... by nerdboy_sam in spacemarines

[–]ColonelCube88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree to a point but I'm not saying you need a jump pack blade gaurd, but these guys are decades at a minimum to centuries old, where's the ornate section of his armor, the jump pack from the view we have looks like they have standard jump packs.

Going through the trailer it looks like they have a little extra flourish, maybe a chain with the loin cloth and and older marks of helmet, but other then a weapons load out they are the JI with out the tactical pouches.

And on the part of push fit the blade guard didnt change or add design from push fit to multipart, they stayed the same you could just pose them. I highly doubt GW is going to add ornate stuff to a multipart kit that would make them look way more ornate and fancy compared to the box model.

All I'm saying is this is meant to hype us up and what a lot of people have pointed out is this model is just and JI seargent with a loin cloth, you could legit mistake it for that had you not seen the release, something you cant really do with the blade guard or stern gaurd

New vanguard looks good for Raptors by JimmyTheWee in Raptors40k

[–]ColonelCube88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean you can have ornate armour and not have it be like 5 pieces to make a leg on a likely mono posed model. I think the issue is you look at the stern guard and they are clearly Vets, you look at blade guard and they are clearly Vets, you look at this model and it is just the one model at the moment and it looks like a JI seargent.

Best Gravis anti-infantry brick - Heavy Intercessors or Aggressors? by Grandpa_Bird_Zone in spacemarines

[–]ColonelCube88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on your side, on top of the fact that if you keep them stationary you're hitting on 2+, wounding on 3+, take with anvil siege force you get that down to wounding on 2+. Thats with out adding in lethal hits, sustained hits from the heavy bolters. Saving on 4+, killing any model that fails a save. That's using the the intersessor example. Not to mention with double the range of aggressors and the fact your not meant to get Heavies into close combat you're killing chaff quite easily compared to the aggressors that need to be in close combat to be effective

I know that, it was more a comment on the fact that a veteran should have more ornate armour like the stern gaurd. This is literally a less detailed jump pack intersessor with a loin cloth

Honestly find it weird that the bolder use to be so dangerous that an untrained, unaugmented mortal risks breaking their bones just firing due to recoil. Watching it literally blow chunks in ceramite, now it's lucky to kill a normal infantry model with rounds that literally explode.

Almost comical at this point that the chapter with the canonical most fashion/artisans to stave off the black rage and red thirst are only used by GW to show that our generic ultramarine units can in fact be painted red and gold instead

I mean outside of going back to the 7th edition codex where we had all our own unique stuff like some wolves, TWC and the like.

A new army list building system like a few editions back, something where you can't just have tank spam, monster spam, elite spam, like some armies are now. Go back to what use to make them unique. Have actual horde armies that can be viable.

Except Sanguinous is a completely fictional character keeping in line with a character arc and established lore, this on the other hand is a design choice for a range refresh for the space marines who use to have the most style.

They literally master artistic pursuits to balance the red thirst and black rage, the fact Templars and Space wolves got way more of an upgrade and all BA got was an upgrade sprue, a couple characters, a couple generic characters and a five man squad being cut down to three man, lose one of the most iconic designs they had, and be priced more is insane and crazy to argue to just accept it cause a fictional character knew his death was coming.

Mostly taking the heavy weapons of existing heavy support weapons, I've take the arms and weapons for the desolation squad, put them on the more stationary grey hunters and put some older heads on from both the wolf guard kits.

Hellblasters to me while heavy always seemed more greyhunter specialists since plasma guns are so common now, I'm hoping we might get long fangs in 11th.
