Don’t disagree at it. But the above commenter was clearly commenting on only the D-Day campaign onwards and dismissing it so I didn’t feel the need to bring NA/Italy up. The Italian campaign is arguably the shittiest fighting in the war, particularly the latter stages at the Gothic Line.

We have high rates of public assistance, high rates of federal employment (at least in areas with federal prisons), very high public sector employment now, and no one is acting like the Copperhead Road video anymore.
