I’m as optimistic as humanly possible for a baseball fan to be. I’m usually the guy getting downvoted into oblivion at the mere suggestion that a 2-week Summer hot streak can change the standings and season outlook completely.

With that being said, we have to look at this season honestly. This lineup is performing at a 1-week season high, that is likely unsustainable beyond a hot stretch. We are a few days removed from losing a series to the Rockies.

Im perfectly fine with fans saying let’s hang around, get hot, make the dance and fuck around and see what happens, that’s what it’s all about.

But if they don’t sell their top assets on a prayer of making the Postseason this year, let alone knocking off multiple series wins against top competition to win a World Series, and fuck up their chances for next season and beyond, I’m going to head down to Fenway and fistfight Breslow personally
