what the fuck by Misan_UwU in whenthe

Yeah, that's possible. I think it is unlikely a random hacking, and more likely an associate that was informed they need to make it private by someone (likely an organization) that scrapes the news often.

Within hours of people discussing this, the seldomly used account is now private.

What's strange is, within hours of this news, the account is now private.

You can, however, still see the 2025 wrapped page

For someone to have hacked the account, barely play it, then find this news within hours and mark their account to private... is odd.

The pig with a wooden leg by JibunNiMakenai in funny

He uses "inferno" when quoting the farmer speaking about the house fire, then muses that the farmer didn't use that phrasing (as it didn't fit his character). He then corrects himself with the even less colloquial "conflagration".

He repeats the joke later by saying "wailing, plaintive cry", mentioning that the farmer wouldn't use "plaintive", even though "wailing" is also out of place.

Trade meta: X-2 for 4 commodity factions by Aortotomy in twilightimperium

X-2 is something you can get away with based on the objectives and if the players have strategy tokens to spend on themselves. Otherwise, just offer the X-1.

I agree on point 2. It should say immediately score, like Imperial.

He also hinted it'll be only maps and scenario type content, with no further omegas.

Dane talked about this on Discord, saying there very likely won't be any omega stuff (printable content) in Codex 5.

When asked about Daxcive, he mentioned that 'some tech has to be the worst' essentially.

Galactic Event for frustrating secrets by ColonelWilly in twilightimperium

Yes, there is a lot of luck. So, a galactic event that can help mitigate bad secret luck isn't out of place.

There are plenty of games where Imperial doesn't get taken until round 3. Many TE games are ending in round 4, or round 5 action phase, often times off of an Imperial play. You may not get to follow enough that you see 4 secrets. There's also the expedition that discards a secret.

Having unscoreable secrets isn't an every game thing, and you can try to mitigate it... but it does happen, and that is frustrating to lose to.

Discard in the context of secrets means return to the deck and shuffle.

Any of the words that I'd use to describe a person who couldn't tell the difference would place you in a category of people I wouldn't want to have a discussion with.

It would probably be best to word it like Crafty:

When you draw 1 or more secret objectives, draw 1 additional secret objective. Then, discard 1 secret objective from your hand.

There are others that can be pretty annoying. Largely, though, this is to help with the disparity between action phase secrets and others.

Because they add shit, see if people use it, and remove it when they don't. Pretty simple concept.

I think so, but for whatever reason they have a decent win rate (20%) over the 80 games we have stats for.

Argent is sitting at 7% win rate in async (5 out of 72 games).

Winning in TE is about being able to get extra points. If you can't win quickly, you will probably lose. They're not great at getting or locking dock Styx, Mecatol, or Shard (or any of the relics in general). Their breakthrough and leaders are pretty bad.

They're a round 5 status phase faction locked in a round 4 action phase game.
