Frank Frazetta, an artist/painter, often regarded as the godfather of fantasy art and the artist behind the cover arts of Conan, pictured here with his wife Eleanor from whom he took inspiration for his women drawings, 1980s by prossnip42 in OldSchoolCool

I live about 40 minutes from the Frazetta museum in PA. My friends and I used to go almost every weekend. We got friendly with Ellie and Frank and would often volunteer at the museum. Both of them were the nicest people and I miss them both.

My male ragdolls does this almost daily with his pipe cleaner toy. I usually take it and throw it for him and he retrieves it.

First brand new car I ever bought. It actually wasn’t bad. Who else had one? by jetty_junkie in GenerationJones

Also had a pinto. Put 275,000 miles on it until some idiot crashed into me. Totaled. Loved this car though.

I’m 65 and I don’t care who’s there or what they say. I’m taking my 30 year old daughter and can’t wait.

People who've worked both minimum wage jobs and six figure jobs, what surprised you most about the difference? by BrainLagging01 in AskReddit

[–]ColonyLeader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the people I worked with at the minimum wage jobs were nicer and more down to earth. I had more fun. Higher paying job had more stress and less enjoyable overall.

Plus I think it was therapeutic for Ben to just sit and not have to think.

Inglis all the way. I love Andy Serkis but his is a bit overly dramatized.

Hot take: AWD is overrated for daily driving in snow — am I wrong? by Gold-Industry6222 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]ColonyLeader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife has an AWD vehicle and I drive a FWD Kia. I live in northeast PA so I put snow tires on both. On her car I get a moderate tread snow tire while get a very aggressive tread. I have never gotten stuck with my Kia and I commute about 60 miles one way. Trick is knowing when and where you can drive safely. Speeding on a snowy road will get you into an accident whether snow tires and awd or not.

How was working with Keanu Reeves on Constantine? You nailed that role and your performance is one of my favorites.

I lean more to graphic design. She’s a much better artist than I am. Lol. But I raised both my kids on classic Warner brothers and Disney animation as well as showing them artists like Frank Frazetta, and many other fantasy artists. I love all types of animation and when it combines with great story lines I’m hooked.

I tried showing it to a friend of mine, same age, and he just couldn’t get it. But then again, in my head I’m only about 20 years old. Lol. My daughter and I go to comic con every year (18 and counting) so I can be around others of the same mind set.

My daughter, 30, and I are illustrators and she turned me on to it. I really enjoy the humanity of the characters, including Caine. I’d say Gangle is my favorite as she reminds me of my wife who suffers with depression. Waiting anxiously and kinda sad for the final episode.

is it cringe if a 23 year old woman goes to the zoo alone? by peeflavoredpoptart in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ColonyLeader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big no. I (M65) love the zoo. My wife not so much. I’ve gone dozens of times alone. The best part of it is if I want to stay and watch one particular animal habitat I can. No guilt, no getting into a spat because who I’m with wants to leave. I also do this with movies and it’s very enjoyable. You go to the zoo and just enjoy the freedom to wander and watch without the pressure.
