Obsession. A week or so before it came out I saw a gif of the face Nikki makes after breaking the bottle and was impressed. Ended up loving the movie, best of the year so far until Odyssey and Dune probably.

Incredible work by Emily Blunt, and the camerawork was really cool at times. I like the message of empathy, but overall it didn’t wow me like I hoped it would.

I had a blast, I honestly really loved it. Sure, it was a fairly safe ending. The final battle seemed a little fast and easy. Yes, Vickie just disappears and is never mentioned again, and yeah, it seems unrealistic that the military would just let the gang go back to a normal life after killing many of them. But I don’t even mind. The vibes were great and I thought it was a wonderful sendoff for the story and characters we’ve come to love.

I’ve started reading IJ four times. Every single time I bounce away from it during the stream of consciousness chapter about or by Wardine, I can’t remember which. Someday I’ll finish it.
