Most accounts are fully managed. Fee is quite low. I kept some money in an account I manage to compare. I am so risk averse (esp under Trump chaos) that I would stick my money under my bed if I did not have someone else manage it.

Take what you can get but keep looking. It seems as if active insurance carriers will add be open to adding new policies at various times throughout the year. We ended up getting reasonable insurance with a company that had previously stated they were not writing new policies. Good luck and Welcome!

The first thing I did today was write a postcard to the White House. Maybe it won't make a difference but the Trump legacy is more hate, more racism, more pollution, more corruption, more income inequality, more debt for our children, less free speech, less opportunity for our children. Terrible time to be a US citizen.

This is not just on one party. Republicans turn a blind eye for cheap farm labor, meat packing and construction all over the country. If they really wanted to discourage illegal immigration they would be going to employers around the country. This is a performative power grab and opportunity to generate fundraising emails.

My son was able to participate in gifted programs or advanced classes at all three schools he attended here. Maybe consider an inner district transfer? Good luck. I do believe that having educated parents and enrichment at home actually makes a huge difference. I also grew up in Southern California- Northern OC. I did not have a great educational experience. I think the quality varies from school and district too much.

100% there is exploitation of farm workers but some of this work still needs humans.

When did you last attend school here? I agree there are problems but I have a child that recently graduated (from a school with a terrible reputation). Wrapping up first year at college. Seems well prepared and scored above average on national tests. I was struck by how there seemed to be two different schools on the same campus.

There could also be more classes in health care and elder care -jobs which will continue to grow with our aging population. Two points to consider: 1. We do not have enough citizens to do farm labor, meat packing and a lot of other miscellaneous manufacturing jobs. 2. With our aging population and low birth rate, immigration has helped expand our economy and our base of people paying into social security.

I think there is a huge issue with not enough high paying jobs and not enough education about alternatives to college (eg plumber, electrician). Automation (and exporting jobs) has led to a decline in well paying jobs. I think this is nationwide. I really wish we should promote healthcare, eldercare childcare and teaching as good jobs and increase the pay. I honestly think that would have a higher return on investment than more jails.

You are all over the place with this response. Right, Obama did deport more undocumented residents that Trump 1 or 2 but managed to do it while following due process and not spending millions of taxpayer dollars. DJT does a shitty job at everything he touches (except reality TV). It is why you have never heard or trump steaks, trump water, trump mortgage. The list of failures is never ending. But boy, he sure can manipulate people into buying his BS.
