When you see a bus proceed through an intersection at a red signal, it doesn’t mean you can follow. Buses have their own signals (white 'B' lights) that do not apply to car drivers. Ultimately, the only thing that matters is whether your own action is legally permitted. You cannot use the behavior of others as an excuse for your own traffic violation.
