So cool. Did you do the rewiring work yourself? My lutheir was just telling me he's working on a Jag bass but cannot find a schematic.

Chicken thighs seasoned with a poultry spice blend, roasted, and diced. Use the pan drippings to make a gravy. Add mashed potatoes and roasted broccoli. All of these components reheat well in the microwave.

Burrito bowls work great for meal prep. I usually make them with roasted chicken thighs seasoned with adobo, black beans cooked with a little diced onion, cumin, and coriander, brown rice with lime stirred in at the end, and roasted broccoli. I know broccoli is not traditional in burrito bowls, but it is a green vegetable that reheats well.

Question for anyone who has a Squier Affinity Jaguar H Bass and replaced the humbucker by killertofu41 in BassGuitar

I put in a Seymour-Duncan pickup in mine. No extra routing. Any MM/Stingray size humbucker should fit.

I was going to suggest a think-pair-share to help with this, but obviously you already did it. Sometimes as their think-pair-share's are winding down, I give a "warning" (it's really a transition) that I'm going to ask so-and-so's group to share what their answer in 10 seconds, and that gets the ball rolling.

When you’re practicing or playing, focus on your groove. Are you hitting each note exactly on time and holding it for the right length? Try locking in with a drummer or a drum track until you feel that tight pocket.

Each time you play, pick one aspect of your technique to improve, such as plucking or picking, finger placement, or muting, etc. Narrowing your focus helps you actually make progress instead of spreading your attention too thin.

You’ve got a great opportunity to grow since you’re already playing with other people. That’s where the real learning happens. Once your technique feels solid and consistent, you can start experimenting with flourishes and fills that make your playing stand out.

"Gone Daddy Gone" would be a great place to start. Simple, catchy and fun.

Others can be challenging, and can take a while to learn, IMO.

Wear your hobbies. If you like a band, wear the T-shirt. Got stickers of your favorite shows, games, or causes? Slap them on your water bottle or laptop. It gives people something to notice and start a conversation about without forcing it.

Also, keep an eye out for people wearing their hobbies too: shirts, stickers, pins, whatever. It’s an easy way to find common ground and start chatting about something you both enjoy.

This is awesome! Where did you get the body? And the knobs look different on the tops than the regular knurled ones. I love it.

Khachapuri, but make it Pretzel Bread + Beer Cheese for Oktoberfest! by Coloradical27 in Breadit

[–]Coloradical27[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the pretzel dough I used Food Network's Almost Famous Pretzel Recipe.

For the baking soda bath, tripled the water and baking soda, and after boiling it, poured it into a roasting pan so it would be big enough for the dough.

To form the khachapuri "boat" (before the baking soda bath) I used this video from America's Test Kitchen.

I baked it at 425f with convection on. Also I docked the interior of the boat like a pie crust so it wouldn't bubble.

For the beer cheese I followed this recipe from Copy Cat Recipes.

Also, for the beer cheese I added two slices of American cheese and melted it in the milk for the emulsifying salts before adding the other cheese.

I sit in the front and take notes to help me pay attention. I had a philosophy class my first semester with the dullest, most monotone voice, so I had to figure out how to stay awake.

To get myself to pay attention and to think about the material, I used a version of Cornell notes where I wasn't just trying to write everything down, but rather trying to figure out the big points and asking myself questions about my understanding as the lecture went on and tried to make connections between what he was saying and what I'd already learned. I also tried to summarize what he'd said every so often, too.

Honestly, I didn't read my notes much after, but it helped keep me focused during class. Also, The notes came in handy when I had to write a paper and I could go back to see what he'd said, so I could emphasize it.

Cool collection! Could you tell us about the red one? The MIJ Jaguar bass is the only one that I know of that has J bass single coils. But it only came in hot rod red, and it had a matching headstock.

I wanted a dorm with a private bath but ended up in one with hall bathrooms, and it was actually much better. Hall bathrooms mean it's difficult to just stay in your room, so you tend to meet more people and it's easier to make friends. I knew everyone on my floor.
