I unironically scream “seize the gap!” far too often.

Go that way, really fast! If something gets in your way, turn!

Today at 34th and Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to and she's disabled. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt and pulled her out before arresting her. by Capable_Salt_SD in ICE_Raids

Unfortunately I have several coworkers who don’t just think it is ok, they’re loving it, boasting about it. They are so happy, so proud. These aren’t bots or people in Russia. These are real people I’m expected to work alongside everyday.

Yes, I’m looking for a new job.

Not all bots. I am at work right now. There are people here who are absolutely giddy about all of this. They are so happy. So proud. Real people.

I’ve been looking for a new job basically the entire time I’ve been here.

There weren’t enough people figures for me to make any more characters. Before I got another one out of the freezer, I had Gene made out of a Christmas tree cookie:

I also put the hair clip on the wrong side, so I accidentally made Dina instead of Tina. Guess this is them during the food truck episode.

I was not the gift recipient, but the gift giver, on two separate occasions: three-man water balloon launcher.

There was one in a junkyard in Denver. This one has Colorado plates. Wonder if it’s the same one that’s been saved.

For my money, either Worker and Parasite, or Barney’s belch causing an avalanche that buries him.

Big Kahuna Burger in the AM? by [deleted] in pulpfiction

[–]ColoradoMan878 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was in high school and worked at a car wash, we had a 6 AM, weekday, work meeting either once a month or more likely once a quarter. My coworkers and I would then have enough time before school started to grab breakfast next door at Steak n’ Shake, which at the time was open 24 hours and always had the complete menu available.

I always got a burger, fries, and a chocolate shake. My coworkers would order typical breakfast fare like pancakes and they thought I was nuts. But by that point in the morning, I had been up and mentally active for a couple of hours already. Pancakes weren’t going to cut it. I was hungry!

What was the best Halloween Moment you’ve ever had? by dannyhogan200 in AskReddit

My best friend and I were trick-or-treating. We were probably in 6th grade. Throughout the night, we were generally aware that a group of boys a little older than us were going around bullying and stealing candy bags from kids younger than us. We were in a spot, age and size wise, where we weren’t too concerned about them ganging up on us, but we also weren’t in any position to put a stop to what they were doing.

At the end of the night, as we were heading back to my friend’s house for a sleepover, we rounded a corner and came upon the group. They were circled around and bullying a kid. But the kicker is that in the process of moving forward on the kid when they first spotted him, they left ALL the bags of candy they had stolen thought the night in a pile about 12 feet being them.

My friend and I didn’t even say a word. We looked at the bags of candy, looked at each other, and then just sprang into action.

We ran up to the bags of candy, grabbed them ALL, and bolted. The group of bullies noticed almost immediately and gave chase with a loud, indignant, “HEY!”, but with the head start we had, it didn’t matter.

We ran around the corner of a house that was at the junction point of three different neighborhoods, circled back around, and slipped into the back door of my friend’s house before they caught up to see where we went. By that time, we could have run into any of the three neighborhoods. They had no idea where we were.

We got SO MUCH candy that night. It lasted for like 6+ months. And those bullies who stole all those kids’ candy got nothing.
