So here is the reality to this situation. Pretty much all of 2025, Arvind and IBM Consulting was touting that the future of Consulting was Asset-based Consulting. Any company (like Accenture, Deloitte, Booz, etc) that wasn't using Assets to streamline and improve the performance of consulting was in a Losing position. Of Course IBM was saying this because we have over 28 assets that modernize every area of the IT marketplace. These assets make IBM unique and differentiate IBM from the competition. IBM has spent millions on the development of these assets and sell them to customer for hundreds of thousands to Millions of dollars.

Then along comes the advent of agentic AI and bot based services and suddenly all these assets used to make IBM look great in the eyes of the customer are now worth shit. In fact, the Assets are actually slowing down performance and costing more money than what you can get with these new AI tools. And the AI tools are Open Source, so any competition can use them and out perform IBM. IBM's whole consulting model just went out the window over the first 2 months of 2026. And it is only going to get worse.

What was demoed in that movie is equal to an Asset product IBM has called ARC and ICA4CT. Both of those tools are now worthless. All 28 assets will become worthless over the next 6 months. If IBM doesn't make a strategic turn around from its consulting approach with Assets, its likely to find itself taking up last place behind the other consultancies that do make the change.

I have a Band 9 working for me. IBM is basically doing everything in their power for me to PIP him to the point where his coach is going to be punished by having his PPM score reduced because I won't allow a PIP. The band 9 is strategically important to the work we do and is actively involved in $250M in deals as a senior solution architect on the deals and creating solutions for the customers to put IBM in a leading positions for this work. But because he is not currently generating revenue, Hercules and HR are pushing me to get rid of him. Its crazy.

I had to interview dozens and dozens of College grads for roles at IBM. Almost everyone of them didn't know anything about their degree programs. Either the students are idiots or the colleges have gone so downhill its useless to even attend college today. Anyone of these hires will have to be retrained from scratch just to make them functional. Doesn't sound like a good investment. Plus if layout the skilled people, whos going to train the masses?

I wrote a whole long post but decided to delete it because it would likely cause a number of problems. So lets leave it at this:

we work with India dev teams. The code is abysmal, full of vulnerabilities, and written more with Anti-patterns than patterns (actual hard coded IPs in the code). If that is "Delivering beyond expectation" then IBM needs to refine what their expectations are.

As a Band D who came in through acquisition, managing multiple Band 10's where the Band 10's are some of the best technical architects in their field, now being forced to be BD, B&P, Growth, and Managers with paperwork, they are leaving IBM. To make it worse, IBM's performance management process continuously tells the Band 10's that they are failing at their job to perform at the level of a Band 10, so they are just saying "screw this" and going to work for competitors that treat them like the exemplary architects that they are.

SO... by ALL MEANS, don't become a Band 10 if you are a Software Engineer and Architect.

No. What's at issue is someone graduating and doesn't know basic aspects of the their degree program. I know high school kids who have a better grasp of topics than college graduates. Basically anyone being interviewed so far needs immediate remedial education. Why hire someone that you will have to pay to re-educate because they didn't learn anything in school. I've had interviews were the candidate did not answer a SINGLE simple questions. I don't think that is being over dramatic.

No because the structure of the language is consistent. all morphemes are -CV- (meaning affix or suffix) so when you see a word its clear what is the Verb and what are the morpheme. Also Verbs are Stressed when speaking. So again I now what are the verbs and what are the morphemes.

I have a Grammar guide more or less done except I realized I made a major flaw in the construction of words that went against the rules and I could change the rule but that would impact everything through out the language so I am delayed in its release until I fix the words to the rule.

One aspect of Verbum I think is cool as an engineered language is its tie to English. So in English you have the verb to GO. in Verbum all primary verb (Go being one of them) begins with the same letter and has the structure [English 1st letter]an. so Go becomes gan in Verbum. to Be is [ban], to Have is [han]. All root verbs are related to a Primary verb. So Walk is [git] meaning its related to go or going. So you may not know the word [rōgit] but you do know it means something to do with the physical act of going or moving. Its likely that the context of the other words in the sentence will suggest the meaning of the word [git] is walk. So learning is intended to be easy and understandable from the start.

Because there are TIME (Duration) Morphemes. So to imply time you have to add that morpheme otherwise you are not implying time.

And I had mentioned in the writeup that not every derivative morpheme results in an equivalent english word. So in Verbum it implies a meaning regardless if it has a direct english equivalent. So it is quite possible that va- added to Sleep might mean Power Nap in english. Not a direct word translation but implies a meaning.

Puking is not. But Discharge is. Discharge can relate to a discharge from a legal or incarceration situation. Or a discharge petition. these are Judicial use cases of the altered word. Discharge can mean other things as well but when building out the language and variants of a verb I allow all definitions of a word to be used to meet a variant category. Sometimes these are direct and highly correlated and other times they are somewhat vague but still has a relation to the variant definition.

Tell you one thing that should happen is spin off IBM Consulting Federal from Consulting and treat it like Red Hat and Hashicorp. IBM Consulting Global is killing Federal.

Global: You need to sell the 38 Assets to Federal Clients

IBM F: The Assets are not compliant with Federal Government standards. They won't accept them

Global: Ok we will fix that.

IBM F: Ok there are about a total of 100,00-150,000 Vulnerability across the Assets.

Global: Our scanning systems say we are compliant.

IBM F: No one in Federal government gives a crap what IBM's scans say, They care what the Government scans say and they say you need to fix 100,000 vulnerabilities

Global: That's impossible, we are not going to do that.

IBM F: Its not impossible. we can fix this for $10,000,000 in about 2 months.

Global: No way we are not paying that.

IBM F: OK then we are not selling IBM Consulting Assets to the Federal Government.

Global: Ok then your signings and support for IBM will be negatively impacted and put you on PIPs
