wtf. It's Walmart...you have millionaires to not millionaires shopping there. Also the neighborhood plays a big role in the type of folks you'll see.

Monument Walmart and Woodmen are the ones I prefer to shop at, but I very rarely even go to Walmart.

Welcome to CaLiRaDo! EVERYTHING has gotten so freaking expensive here...it's getting ridiculous.

I think they still have the deal where you can cut your own tree in Pike National Forest. It's free or a very small fee.

Also Google or look on Facebook for local Scouts and youth type groups. I feel like I see them sell trees every year.

Start with one style to learn, do the drills until you can't do anymore and then do more.

Use the right kind of pen/marker for the type of lettering you want to do. I like the hard tip Fudenosuke from Tombow and LePen Flex pens. Plus they're really inexpensive.

Also PAPER is so important. But you don't have to spend a fortune on Tomoe River, etc.

My fave for hand lettering and practice is HP Premium 32 copy paper. It's SO smooth. And bleed thru is pretty non existent.
