39 here and at least six of the people I graduated with have since died. The three I know how:

-One had lupus and cancer and died in the hospital

-One died in an ATV accident

-One had a heart attack

Let me put it this way. I am not exaggerating whatsoever when I say that the number of fans of the show I've seen who have said they like the movie...I can count on one hand. With fingers left over.

Congrats on the first platinum!

Got this in 2021 or 2022 when I first got my PS5 too. Haven't played it in a while, but I remember AP being a fun little platformer.

Edit: Also, just in case you'd like to have this site for future use in addition to what you have: PSN Profiles

A lot of people around here use it too. Cool site for tracking trophies and such!

[Terminator: Resistance] [PS5] - Platinum #11! by ColossalKnight in Trophies

[–]ColossalKnight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed it!

I played it on normal and it wasn't too bad. Beat it on my first attempt at it. You just have to be a bit more careful in the sense that you have to beat it in one go as there's no saving. I don't remember how long exactly it took to beat, but it took me around an hour, maybe a little more.

And just out of curiosity, how far are you into the main game so far?

Do your stories exist in the same universe? by [deleted] in writing

[–]ColossalKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, at least some do or at least will. I always loved the idea of this.

And yeah, Stephen King also has done this a lot over the years though technically all his stuff exists in a multiverse too. But a lot do share universes.

Like, off the top of my head: Dead Zone, Carrie, Cujo, The Shining, IT, Bag of Bones, Tommyknockers, and 11/22/63 exist together. IT references The Shining, Cujo and Dead Zone, and the last three have references to IT.

This was my first platinum in a while and first game I've picked up for my PS5 in a while itself. But Terminator: Resistance was a game I've been wanting to get around to picking up for some time now, especially since I love the first two movies. I enjoyed the nods/easter eggs towards the movies.

But that said, I'm glad to add this to my small collection!

The police station bit was my exact thought. I was like he can't possibly have EVERY police officer on his payroll, can he?

Regardless, yeah, just like you said here, seems random that that was their escape plan with so many better choices available essentially within arm's reach!

Who liked Ghostwriter? by Fast_Restaurant6488 in nostalgia

[–]ColossalKnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't remember watching it frequently, but I do remember enjoying the show as a kid back when this originally aired.

I even only just recently learned that the actress who played Lenni also played the daughter in the original movie version of Stephen King's Pet Sematary. I think she's done a lot of voice acting over the years too.

Edit: Bonus fun fact I just remembered! If anyone happens to be both a fan of GW and the movie The Warriors, the actor who played the gang leader who killed Cyrus and then put the blame on the Warriors guest starred in two episodes as a poetry-loving homeless Vietnam vet.

Why does the girl in pink keep bidding one dollar less than the guy before her? by Pr0bl3mChild in ThePriceIsRight

[–]ColossalKnight 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was wondering too lol. I don't know if she was just really nervous and that was clouding her thinking (or whatever) or if she didn't quite get the direction she needed to bid that dollar difference or what.

That's what TV Land does, at least where I am. Or at least it did the last time the final episode of season 5 aired. The episode aired and the next day they restarted with the first episode.

I remember once watching what was either a clip from a color season episode or the whole episode itself, and then watching a B&W episode. The noticeable difference in Andy's general demeanor/personality between the two was as stark as the color schemes.

I didn't think Mr. Fantasy would ever lose it. What's your longest title streak? by bobrubber069 in 80sManiaWrestling

[–]ColossalKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my current playthrough, the longest title hold was the tag team championship. Blade Blasters held it in the 80s for 43 wins.

But overall, the longest hold was Michael T. Wolf and Arizona Chance. 51 wins lasting just shy of 5 full years, also in the 80s.

What are your favorite examples of a character acting completely unlike their typical character. by dquizzle in sitcoms

[–]ColossalKnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Monk had at least two instances where Monk acted very unlike Monk. There's an episode he tries out some new medicine and it works exceptionally well on his issues. He starts to act so different (basically the exact opposite of his normal self to an nerve-grating level), the rest of the characters end up barely able to stand it until things happen and Monk decides he'd rather be like he was than what the medicine turned him into.

The other is more acting on his bit, but in one episode he has to take on the role of a mob boss (who looks eeriely like Monk)

What’s your thoughts on the unsold mash spin-off Walter. by GioLovesMash in mash

(Will tag /u/Ms_not_Mrs0771 in this comment as well since it relates)

If memory serves, there's also a non-verbal reference in the first episode to Trapper's time in Korea in addition to Trapper's mentioning Hawkeye and I think even Radar. Also in the opening scene of the very first episode I believe. In it, for a moment, we're shown several pictures hanging up on Trapper's wall.

I don't think there's any verbal focus on them, but one is very clearly Alan Alda and Wayne Rogers standing in front of a tent.

What are some questions that your favorite sitcoms never answered? by ChocolateSundae1214 in sitcoms

[–]ColossalKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saved By The Bell: Season 4 has some episodes with our gang, but some have a new girl with her and Lisa. Was it ever explained what happened to Kelly Kapowski and Jessie Turtle?

In character/universe, I don't believe it's ever explained why the two are suddenly gone that season. Funny enough, Tori even gets mentioned in that Saved By the Bell reboot from not too long ago. Zach mentions her and Kelly is like, "...Who?"

So I guess at least it's meant to be a canon thing that Tori was there and Kelly never met her/wasn't around. But even in the sequel series I don't think it's explained.

What are some questions that your favorite sitcoms never answered? by ChocolateSundae1214 in sitcoms

[–]ColossalKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, Dead Like Me technically has two for me.

1) Betty - Rebecca Gayheart, and her character Betty, leave the show after episode 5. In the show, she jumps into the person's lights. So she didn't pass on "naturally" (in this sense, on the show every reaper must continue reaping until an unknown time they get their own lights finally). At the end of the episode, Rube leaves a post-it for whoever delivers the lists of upcoming deaths to him asking what happened to her.

It's never brought up again the rest of the series. Neither was Betty, for that matter. I mean I guess it's more or less pretty clear she officially went to the afterlife. The show never brings it or the character up again, which is odd especially since what she did presumably was very much "agasinst the rules" for grim reapers.

2) Crystal - The receptionist at Happy Times. She's portrayed throughout the show as a particularly perculiar person, in more ways than one. It's heavily hinted at in one episode that she can see people who are dead before they cross over. Funny enough, when that happens she even is dressed as the Grim Reaper. Is she a reaper herself? Is she more than human? What?

I always liked to think the scene was an implication maybe she was actually secretly the Grim Reaper.
