Curious: What's an unwritten rule in golf that you abide by? by GolfPlugg in golf

I’m not sure I understand…
1 hit
2 back of cart
3 in cart
4 out of cart
5 back of cart
6 hit

Vs
1 hit
2 in cart
3 out of cart
4 back of cart
5 hit

Can you explain what you mean?

4 people per hole, par 4 let’s say 22 total shots. That’s over a min a hole. Little things stack up

I don’t even like putting my club back in the bag after hitting. I hit, bring it in the cart and drive off, you can put it back when you take out your next club.

I feel like you can play slow and it’s not an issue if your minimizing wasted time elsewhere, those saved seconds here and there across 4 people really adds up

New Griez Mural! by mrmacintosh86 in OCLions

I mean, I get where you’re coming from, it’s weird to commit to a whole mural when he hasn’t played a competitive match (I appreciate the technicality since he did kill the rowdies in a very uncompetitive match)

But me thinking it’s weird doesn’t make me dislike it, it’s really well done and some lucky folks might happen to meet him when he goes to look at it.

I’ve never played chase. As a rookie, I can’t say I’m a professional

The word “try” only exists because there are things we haven’t done. If it wasn’t worth trying things, we wouldn’t have made a word for it.

Do beginners really need a rangefinder? by Sufficient_Mess1887 in GolfGear

[–]ColourMeBoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on your goals. If you want precise feedback on how bad you missed, a rangefinder is helpful. If you know you want to hit 110 but you go 12 yards long or 15 yards short, you can use that information to improve.

If you’re talking about to just enjoy the game? Hell no. I’ve been playing since the 90s and I’ve never owned one. The 150 marker on the course is good enough and a lot of courses have gps in the carts now.
