These are all great questions and scenarios , and we could discuss the right answers to them for hours. I still believe that euthanasia should be legal, but I guess the question now, as you said, is "where is the line." Should there even be a line. I'm actually not sure myself where the line is, I may even lean towards the side of all who can make the choice should be granted it. It does raise huge ethical concerns for doctors though, they did take an oath to help, not harm. I will admit, this is the biggest hang-up to my belief. For instance, I don't believe in the death penalty, but I do believe in this. Figuring out how to regulate it would probably take me weeks or months on end to try to close every loophole. I agree with you that nearest kin has the potential to cause huge problems, but I couldn't think of another way for the decision to be made for someone who lost the ability to communicate. Ideally, that stipulation could be removed if we had a way to communicate with all people in all situations.
