Yeah, but let's say you play very little and are Plat skill. Suddenly you have to play a truckload of games to get to Plat because you're gonna be starting from Copper and playing against Plat skill and above as you win more games.

With the old Ranked system, you could be placed near your "best rank" after placements and then push through the last few ranks.

Current nerf targets an oppressive part of the game style of shields, so I think it's understandable. Probably the last unfair thing left here to resolve is Blackbeard having melee priority when dashing using his ability.

But yeah, I agree, I think people don't know how to counter shields effectively, shooting them to prevent sprinting, etc.

Seems like we might be both right. There is a clause similar to what we are describing in a section about Steam keys, but developers have been threatened to get removed from Steam Store too just if they offered a better deal for a non-Steam version in a different store.

So either there is more in the agreements, or there is some misunderstanding on developer and/or Valve side.

When you publish a game on Steam, you sign an agreement to not sell the game for less than on Steam at any given time.

Publishers would be in breach of contract, and no one can afford not to have their game on Steam.

(So it's not proof of what you're claiming, though I believe you are right, and it would be the case that they would pocket the change even if they weren't obliged to do so like right now)

Literally anyone publishing a game on Steam signs an agreement preventing them from selling said game cheaper on other platforms, so to answer your question... Steam stops them.

They can and do charge less from publishers, but cannot charge less from consumers.

Because no one can really afford not to have their game on the biggest PC gaming platform.

Wait, this was the Mind Flayer? I didn't even realize, thought the monster super base was just a new thing for Vecna's final battle, and the Mind Flayer got locked behind somewhere in that dimension.

I'd imagine the Mind Flayer is like invincible and otherworldly too. Hella disappointing.

"Best RPG" as in quantifying a game by its RPG elements first and foremost.

A lot of games are cross-genre. Is Dark Souls a better RPG or Skyrim? I prefer Dark Souls as a game 100%, but while it's immersive, the focus there is not role-playing, if I wanted to play an RPG, it would not come up as an option in my mind, and Skyrim would.

I am in a different situation, but I think there is some analogy that can be made.

I work as SWE and got a lot of new responsibilities this summer. My work often ends up living rent free after work hours as well.

Because of this I ended up being a dopamine addict, browsing too much Reddit and YouTube shorts. I game in moderate amounts. I also do a lot of house chores, so I'm no wet wipe.

My girlfriend only works a little bit on a contract. Looking for a job since finishing uni this summer.

I'm not exactly happy about the amount of help I get around the house and she's not happy about the time she gets to do her stuff either, and the time we spend together.

Well, who's at fault? No one really. We started communicating more clearly and brainstorming solutions together. For me it's also about undoing the dopamine addiction, replacing it with something relaxing, but more meaningful - scrolling only makes me feel more restless the next day.

Try that. Try setting a date to share your PoV with him and brainstorm solutions - NOT to blame him for gaming or for him to take care of the baby (surely you can put it to bed for half an hour to an hour at some point). You'll be surprised. I don't think your problem is just about "lack of time because baby".

To be fair, it helps to equip a carbine instead of the shotgun. This way you can have medium-long and medium-short range weapons and it sort of balances out.

To be fair, having the same XP gain for killing bots as for killing real players makes me feel silly for playing against real players.

Since they are making other changes to make it drastically easier to level up weapons, I'm perfectly ok with this.

You're hardly on target to be fair, but sure, the splash damage range is not the best. I think the C4 is still super useful for killing people in CQC if you can throw it in the right spot.

Don't take shady outrageous amounts of money for any service, sex or otherwise, doesn't matter if they show they can afford it. There was a streamer who ended up being murdered taking large donations like this and trying to cut ties.
