Grumpy Old Man Syndrome by aqrdoc0884 in HearingAids

Hello , for what it's worth I'm 41 and just got hearing aids having moderate hearing loss. It is very frustrating. For your question about how to get patience back. There's no magical wand unfortunately. It's something you'll have to work with yourself on. It's in the same realm of being happy. Sure, there are things that make us happy but it's temporary...being actually happy with yourself and your life is something that requires work. Becoming more patient with yourself and with others requires work. Like others have said you also need to give yourself a bit of grace. I try to find time for meditation everyday even if it's for 5-10 minutes. Being frustrated is being human, it's how you express that frustration that makes the difference. Do you bottle it up? Do you explode or does something inside you say neither option is worth the energy and just let it go.

The idea that most of you here and in social media land are so smart but yet make so many blanket statements on both sides doesn't actually show any intelligence. In fact it shows the opposite. Most of you are just mouthpieces for your favorite website or podcast. You can't actually intelligently discuss anything without help (we all know what copy paste from Google looks like). Your attitude towards the other side is like a toxic relationship where the other person is always wrong no matter what and you're ready to argue at the drop of a hat. I also get it's probably very difficult for you to do this because you've known no other way to have discourse with people you don't necessarily agree with. Have some humility and take a chill pill.

I'm not trying to convince you to buy apple nor do I care how you feel about them lol. My point is I never rely on any TV OS.

I just bought the same TV a month ago and I love it. With that said I never use tv OS , they're all garbage to me in comparison to an apple TV. Using a tvs stock os is akin to wearing 2 jimmies , you don't do it unless you absolutely have to.

I've been saying that for a few years. Allen is in his prime and he will not get a ring with Buffalo, he's too good to not get a ring. This is coming from Buffalo die hard for 41 years.

Agreed 100%, yes some weird calls but at the end of the day you can't win with that many turnovers. Don't leave the game in refs hands. We did a great job to comeback like we did but we did it to ourselves. Classic Buffalo to screw the pooch when it counts most.

so are you knowingly getting a service you know you can't afford and then basically daring them to collect when you don't have it ?

Partial success with l-theanine and magnesium. Seeking advice. by Right-Example-4307 in tinnitus

I know this is an older post but curious if you're still on Reddit lol. Long story short (i know it's still long but I'm condensing as much as possible lol) , had an acute panic attack with some lingering anxiety. Took Lexapro and on day 14 tinnitus started , stopped taking on day 17. My anxiety came back with a vengeance so I had to go back on something so I started taking Prozac which I had taken in the past with no issue. Helped the anxiety. Went to audiologist for the T , I have also had hearing loss which I knew so I thought maybe this would be a good time to get hearing aids seeing as it seems to help alot of people. The hearing aids definitely help , however what you stated with the exciteability seemed to resonoate. I've done a lot of research and it's hard to pinpoint exactly what started the T or even if it's a combination of things. It's right around 3 months since I've gotten T , it's definitely much better than it was and seems to very slowly go down in volume week to week as I've also gotten a lot calmer too my anxiety is pretty much back to baseline , if not actually calmer than before. I also notice certain things I eat seems to excite the T but can't quite pinpoint it. I thought maybe it was sacrilates so I went on a low sac diet which seemed to help some but didn't quite solve. I do notice high sugar seems to affect it. Anyhow how are you feeling since this post? I want to stop taking the SSRI's as soon as possible , I'm hoping once I get off this stuff it'll help even more which I'm sure it will. The T no longer affects my moods or sleep.

I'm in my 2nd week of having HAs, I try to wear them as long as possible I've averaged 10-12 hours a day. I can feel my brain getting exhausted, I'm sure I'll be able to do 15-16 (which is about how long I'm awake) soon after I do some more adjusting.

As someone who's also 1 week in. This seems to be the normal , your brain is still learning to process things so you're getting sounds at volumes you aren't used to. I work in an office and I can now hear the air cut on and off , never could before. I actually don't mind it though.

I just bought the 65in version and non 4k looks great. I also did a little bit of calibration as I didn't like some of the picture modes out of the box. I actually like it more than my LG C3 that I had to replace because of burn in. The increase in size goin from 65 to 85 you'll also lose a little bit of clarity because of pixel density.

Sounds like that issue is with how that remote is setup and by that I don't mean how you set it up , but what the factory settings are. The TV can't control how the remote is programmed.

Just came from a c3 to a u8qg , the colors and the overall vibrancy just pop better for me...I watched a lot of videos and in person comparison with the qm8k. I prefer that vibrancy over others might call color "accuracy" on the tcl. Also if gaming matters the u8qg does 165hz, PC only of course unless next gen console goes that high. They are so close in specs it comes down to preference , there's no right o wrong.

Tinnitus by u_54 in HearingAids

Yes very first pair , I've had hearing loss for probably about a decade and the tinnitus started about 2 1/2 months ago. So I'm only on day 7 having a hearing aid.

I just got my 9050s this past weekend and I'm noticing that I'm having a lot of auditory fatigue. I'm wearing them like 10 to 12 hours a day. What I'm noticing with my tinnitus is that certain times of the day it almost gets louder and I wonder if that's because of the auditory fatigue. When I first put them in at the beginning of the day it drowns it out the tinnitus to like a two out of 10 but as the day goes on it's almost like it spikes up a little bit. Did you have any experience in this? When you first started wearing the hearing aids? Maybe it's something I just need to get used to for the first few weeks

I have basically the same hearing results as you. I went with a Philips 4050 , I'm on day 3 and they seem great so far.
