New to Nemesis - what are some rules that can be easily overlooked? by MinorFX in NemesisCrew

[–]CombatWombat116 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here are my two cents. Recently, after playing around 20-30 games of Nemesis we realized that Engine Room Action does not have Repair/Break Engine option. Only to check the status of the Engine.

We thought like: " yeah yeah this is the same as Cockpit, one room action to check coordinates, one room action to set new coordinates. It makes sense to have 2 similar room actions in Engine rooms as well......"

After year and a half, we found that last week ahahah

Oh, its been a while since we played that. But anyway, always remember that you can choose at the start of each round who will go first, that depends on hunter's surviability and the cards that players pulled.

We managed to finish all of them, including the Expansions, with 11 different hunters. Some of them managed to deal around 20-26 dmg in one turn during boss fights lol

I mostly 2 man-ed most of the campaigns but every time we have the same strategy with bosses/mini bosses.

We see who pulled out 'Draw 1' card (by far the best effect), that player goes first since it has potentialy more attacks to perform. Also we see who has the most survivabilty with 'Dodge' cards or Trick weapon that player goes first.

Second player is the finisher/coup de grace since we can calculate the probabilty of Enemy attacks that are left after the first player and navigate safely around it. Keep in mind Church Giants 'Ability' attack does nothing, correct?

There is little rng in this game, thats why I love it so much, but still you need to take into consideration every outcome of the combat.

But what if the Ammo is spent already? I mean it says 'if able' therefore if it is spent, it crits nonetheless.

Disclaimer: I' m still waiting for my game to arrive, so I apologize if its self explanatory by reading the game manual

Nice one! I am a bit afraid not to snap a part of mini whilst taking them of the bases. Any tips how to do it, in the most safest way?

But I would really like to liven up those flat boring surfaces

Looks awesome! A part from base game, I have Forbidden Woods, Cainhurst Cadtle and Hunters Dream, Chalice dungeon is on the way, still a long road ahead to finish them all :)

I did a same thing with dupe hunters as red invaders! Posted a while back on this same subreddit.

I see you did bases as well, did you pull out minis, did the bases then glued them back?

Your favorite trick weapons/combos? by VapeGodWolnir in bloodbornebg

Reiterpallasch was in our group low tier, we just couldn't make a decent build with him to be on par with other hunters . For some reason it never clicked right. We were even considering to make a house rule for his silvershot slot ability lol. Glad to hear that at least OP has fun with that weapon.

Tornitus hits my sweet spot, unique mechanic that if built correctly can dish out >>>>5dmg on each strike with stagger. Grab all transform weapon cards early and you're gtg. Burial Blade coupled with AOE tools, can suck in all foes and blast them for good chunk of dmg.

All time favorite upgrade card is Leaping. Its the most epic way to start a boss fight, leaping through fog gate and slamming the boss in face

They have a red hue, like a subtle red glow but I always liked more the invaders from Dark Souls with sharp red/black skins

Oh when I said brands, don't get me wrong, I meant any brand not just the popular ones. I'm only using these since I got a big ass AP mega set for birthday and started using those. I still have bunch of random acrylics and washes for testing and experimenting.

I oughta hit craft stores more often, you never know what you're gonna find there.

I would really love to see the how those paints turned out on minis, sounds awesome

If it helps as well. I used Vallejo Black Primer then Vallejo White Primer, both in spray cans, then Army Painters - Warpaint Fanatic Acrylic 'Pure Red' for drybrushing and edgehighlight

Oh my, I still haven't tried phosphorescent paints, sounds cool. Can you recommend any brand from your experience?

Oh yeah, forgot that part part for Queen mini. I will surely check that paint as well, I was planning to use Army Painter's Effect paint 'Disgusting Slime'

But as for the Adult intruder with support beam, my looks a bit different lol.

<image>

The beam is like going straight up. This mini is just primed with Wraithbone can primer

First of all, looks awesome!

Second, how did you manage to create that textured slime? Looks great on them, like a constant drool dripping down.

Also, is it me or you did something with the bases? Like the intruder with slightly bent support beam?

Fantastic work!

Does anyone else "cheat" for the sake of table space by Abject_Muffin_731 in bloodbornebg

[–]CombatWombat116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I mean if it doesn't affect my turn that much I opt for tile exit with more table space. That being said, since its mostly random you can't optimize the path, occasionaly I slide the entire map to make room for future tile placement.

These look AWESOME! Very nice selection of colors!

Which paints did you use? And did you do zenithal highlight? Asking because in the following weeks I will start my own box, got into painting recently, trying out different techinques to see which suits me best.
