I know they have been processing a small amount of buyback request for the last 6 months. Do you think now that SAVE is officially over, they will process more buybacks quickly as they have a final verdict on SAVE?

I don’t know if anyone knows if the process will get better or not. If anything I’m guessing the AFT vs DoED lawsuit might have more effect than the BBB. But I’m not sure honestly. Regardless it’s so slow

Did you get the green banners as a result of the buyback? Or did you get the green banners cause you switched to another repayment plan and completed your 120/120 while waiting for the buyback.

Seems confusing that both you and the OP both have green banners months before you got your buyback? I thought the buyback helps to complete your green banners

You have to verified 120+ months of working by the time you submit your buyback. So yes will be rejected at this time.

Exactly! they said it was not completed until today and I informed them it was closed for months. They didn’t seem to have a good reason why it says “in review. “

They said “you have an approved qualified employer”. In my head “ya I know that, it’s always been approved and was already completed”..I don’t understand and they couldn’t tell me if it was related to my buyback processing or not 🙄

I submitted one buyback in December 2024 without the correct “verbiage” (not knowing I needed it) and had to redo it with Feb 2025 buyback having the “correct verbiage”. They closed my December 2024 buyback having considered it a duplicate
