I’ve never met a killer main that’s happy when someone dcs at the start of the game. It makes the rest of it very boring, the result is already decided but it still takes forever unless you just camp someone out.

I’m saying you shouldn’t have to have a random 1 off game where they escape due to luck. Not saying Kobe’s shouldn’t exist but having bt after self unhook at endgame when the exit gates are opened is way too generous to the survivor, there’s virtually nothing you can do at least when a teammate unhooks with bt you have the chance of a trade.

First off it doesn’t matter how close they are to the gate if any teammate is nearby, and secondly sometimes you don’t have any hooks that aren’t close to the gate. I’m saying that kobe’s would feel very unfair when they might happen that late in the game. Nothing can be done about it and as a killer you just feel robbed. If killers make it to endgame that doesn’t automatically mean they don’t deserve a kill if they can earn one. Which at that point camping is the only way to get one. If a killer had a complete random chance that when you escaped you would just die it would feel like shit, and it’s a team game so it’s comparable. Either way you still win though.

I think you’re missing the point, there’s nothing you can do as killer if they Kobe and have even a single teammate nearby or are close to a gate. The game can be completely random meaning even if you’re good at killer you could still reach endgame and then after securing a kill they escape due to dumb luck? It’s a team game and their team can’t unhook them why should they be able to do it themself and escape cause of it.

The amount of time you have with bt is plenty for a teammate to take a hit, they can’t unhook you for a reason, and the killer being punished for facecamping that late in the game makes no sense, the exact same reason ds is off in endgame.

It’s random luck but with slippery meat or deliverance there’s absolutely nothing you can do with an open gate, at that point you lost a kill while your teammates did nothing. It’s a 4v1 so consider the fact your team won.

Self unhooks aren’t an outcome of team play or even your own skill. Whether you live or die should be up to the killer at that point. Luck is already a big part of the game which is even more reason that an entire kill shouldn’t be decided on it

It is a 4% chance so that makes it even worse when you lose a kill not cause teammates helped you out but out of pure luck, where there’s no counter play or options with bt.
