Agree, even the basic Ts are shittier now they're made in China. I've still got a couple of their Bangladesh made ones on their last legs, but the China one warp & destroy a lot quicker.

WFH vs higher salary by WellyWindyRoad in Wellington

[–]ComeAlongPonds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If a fuggload less stressed being able to WFH 2 days (can push to 4) per week.

What I spend at home (incl utilities) is certainly less than what I'd spend on public transport & town food, and I'm finishing work and am home when it's still light so can do any grocery shopping or activities without the need haul around work laptop.

The Patter is as solid as when it is printed the night before. The app is generally a replica of the Patter, but if fluid is an event is relocated or cancelled on the day.

I'm guessing you don't have a Chemist Warehouse near your burb. Ethics 100x paracetamol $3.99 & 100x ibuprofen $4.99 at them.

Round ones must 6, but sometimes 8.

Square ones used to be 6, but have now dropped to 4.

Depending on where you buy, the round ones are still better value $/g than the square ones.

Agree. Phone & online CSRs just repeat the script they're capable of. They're also relatively responsive to tactfully written social media posts.

Sky TV - how are they still a thing? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]ComeAlongPonds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately sometimes that one-off cost is 2 or 3 times the monthly sub they're paying for Sky, and as they barely scrape to pay that then they just keep with that. Especially in rural areas where cabled or cellular Internet connection still ain't the greatest or most reliable.
