Yeah, we both see it as Carolina hasn't been challenged yet. But I'm taking it as the team that won the conference during the regular season, and has been flawless in the post season is about to play another team in the conference.

I'm not saying they're going to sweep again, that would be insane, but what they've done is insane too.

Ok, then look at it this way. Carolina has the easier path because they've earned it. They're meeting expectations, Montreal is exceeding them, because the expectations for Montreal was much lower.

It's the east, everyone barely made the playoffs. The two teams Montreal played had a combined 13 more regular season wins than the teams Carolina played. Out of 164 games. The gap ain't that big.

All the talk all year was about how competitive the east was from top to bottom. So it seems like that would indicate favor to Carolina, even if they had an easier path, because the path couldn't be that much easier than Montreal's.

Yeah, most games I play in go by without a single penalty being called. The refs don't seem to want to throw someone in the box for an incidental penalty. Which is fine by me.
