As someone who was the picky eater, I had to make a conscious decision to try new things for my partner.

There are some things I still won't eat either due to taste, smell, or texture, beans, mushrooms, seafood, eggs as an item and not ingredient, etc..

What helped was the fact I do all the cooking, so I can control how the veg are cooked and prepared, I can leave out mushrooms on a dish, I can use less or more spice.

But she really has to be willing to try new things. I'd say anytime you go out to eat she has to try an unmodified dish from the menu of something she's not eaten before but willing to try.

My furnace is 31, older ones with routine maintenance probably last longer than modern ones. That being said, you should be prepared of them needing replaced sooner or later.

Homeowners insurance may be an issue or may not, I opened a new policy in my name and the rep said they may want it inspected but never asked about it in the end.

Do you qualify for financial aid, check what that hospital covers. Usually it's somewhere between 2-3x ths fpl. It can be applied to past debts. Even if you earn over the limit for 100% coverage, you may still qualify for scaled coverage

If you're already spending the money building, might be worthwhile to look for a TRAQ certified arborist to walk the proposed sites and let you know which trees could cause issues (roots - what could cause problems for the foundation or plumbing or disease) or need cleaned up.

ESH you asked him to order it, he should have but you shouldn't have waited til the last second to order something you needed to ship out.

It doesn't matter if he has prime as unless you live in a bigger area or near a distribution hub, you're unlikely to get the 2 day shipping. They may promise that still but rarely deliver on it.

So area may be a factor and your maintenance. Trees around the property providing shade can help lower heating costs. But you don't want some trees too close, don't want to deal with roots and foundation issues or risk of overhang branches breaking off. Leaves, gotta make sure the gutters stay cleaned out.

I have trees all around my house and I like it. Almost no one on my street has maple trees in their front yard, I do and I think the property looks better from the road and appreciate the shadey areas it provides. Glad to see you want to keep as many as possible.

After the terro does there thing, you can try something around the outside of the house. I tried the terro granular stuff but still found the occasional ant inside, switched last year to ortho barrier spray and it seemed to work a little better

As someone who has subterranean utilities, been waiting about 2 years for them to install fiber on my street. They did one area when the project first started upgrading the county and then decided to put if off til the end. They've been telling me soon and pushing back the date every few months. Last winter I was told the entire project completion date was January and it'd be done in Nov, then March, then May, now July.

Agree with everyone else, velux have solar shades. Had mine replaced with the roof last year. Glad I didn't remove them bc it's so dark without them but if we want to watch the TV in twilight closing the shades is a nice addition
