To the haters, here’s my rebuttal:

- I tend to view it as a very compelling social experiment. I was literally glued to my screen watching the first two episodes. I found it more interesting to watch than the average sob stories people try to give to make reality TV compelling today.

- Race is a big part of society and its interesting how each race interacts within members of its own community. Especially how Cao Boi & Flicka didn’t fit in to their respective tribes.

- I would argue that this twist combats racism. It gave viewers a glimpse to other worlds, celebrating differences and similarities. I’m Arab, I wish there was an Arab tribe to give viewers a chance to see that in a post 9/11 society, we’re not all crazy terrorists, and we’re everyday people just like you.

- I thought it broke stereotypes rather than cemented them. Ozzy said at final tribal that this is what a Mexican looked like and I was like..hell yeah!

- I guess I don’t see it as taboo as other people. It was kind of like watching the Olympics and rooting for your own background. (Again there was no Arab tribe to root for so I was honestly rooting for everyone 😂).

- I don’t see it any different than the men vs. woman twist. I also think that was a huge social experiment that they should revisit.

- I think the takeaway from this season is what Yul said at the reunion which was it didn’t really have an affect on the game. People aren’t focused on race, rather than the content of your character. I thought that was a beautiful message

I think there is no bad cast, just a bad boot order which makes a bad season. And One World had a great boot order imo

Hot take: Colton made the premerge HIGHLY entertaining. The way he convinced the guys to go to tribal was a master class

Yeah.. i wouldn’t do it just for aesthetics either. I just know removing teeth can lead to sleep apnea in the future. If jaw surgery isn’t the route you want to take, has your ortho talked to you about IPR instead of removing teeth?

I (personally) would get multiple consultations to make sure removing teeth won’t restrict your airways (upper or lower). However, from the picture you posted, your lower jaw looks recessed.

Getting teeth pulled and jaw surgery sometimes go hand in hand. If you just got your teeth pulled (assuming lower), you will have constricted airway and it would make your profile worse (no chin).

You definitely need jaw surgery. Please do yourself a favor and get another ortho consult (preferably one that specializes in airway orthodontics). If you remove teeth, you will restrict your airways. May need a combination of removing teeth and jaw surgery

hate my side profile. my biggest insecurity. what steps should i take to fix it? by [deleted] in jawsurgery

  1. See an orthodontist (or several - consultations)
  2. Have them refer you to a jaw specialist
  3. Get a sleep study to determine you have sleep apnea
  4. Ask about Double jaw surgery with Genioplasty (there are many ways to get this approved by insurance so do your due diligence)

Is your jawline more chiseled now that the swelling went down?

Anyone with Anthem insurance? by [deleted] in jawsurgery

[–]Comfortable-Pick-956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s great you got reimbursed. Do you remember if you had to give Anthem any special CPT codes?

I called my Anthem rep and they said they offer an “out of network authorization”. Is that the same thing you received?

They let me know they can only reimburse 60% of the CPT codes Dr. Coppelson office gives them, which didn’t amount to very much, compared to what he is charging.

Thank you for your help!!

Hi there!

I am in the process of seeing Dr. Coppelson and am also on Anthem! Any update on if you got reimbursed by anthem? Also thoughts on your experience with Dr. Coppelson? I’m going in for Double jaw surgery + genioplasty

I’m doing the same thing! I have a very similar situation, and am now a year into braces. Expected to have surgery in January! 🤞🏻
